Wow! “Atmospheric River” indeed!! 💧💧💧 Our region got a LOT of rain over the last 24 hours. We are so pleased to see our drainage systems doing their job, keeping our facility essentially mud-free. We built on the high side of our land, and use a combination of surface swales and French Drains to allow the water to flow away. Looking forward to the sun coming next week!

We are loving our HEATED and insulated waterers!!! No freezing through the record setting low of -16 wind chill (BRRRRR!!!!!) and the snow that followed. ❄️❄️❄️
It’s such a relief to see the horses regularly drinking, reducing the chance of winter colic. Seems like the horses think the warm water is a treat! 🤣

At $930 per waterer, plus the underground plumbing, it was quite an investment (we have 15 of them), but worth every penny during weather like this!!!
And fresh & cool in summer. Feeling very thankful. 🥰🥰🥰
