As of August 1st there are new travel requirements for taking your pet across the border. These changes include:
-All dogs MUST be at least 6 months of age at the time of entry into the US
-Have a microchip that was implanted prior to rabies vaccination
-Appear healthy on arrival
-CDC dog import form must be completed and/or submitted 2-10 days prior to arrival

Summer is here and so are our Emergency Kits! Everyone should have an emergency kit for themselves, the car, the boat and the cottage and especially their furry friend! 🐾

This emergency kit is designed to help owners when the unexpected happens at the cottage, at home or on the go. Each kit includes:
-1 roll of cotton, cling, vetrap, and telfa pad (basic bandage material)
-1 bottle of chlorhexadine scrub and rinse
-110g jar of Isaderm
- 5 regular strength Benadryl 25mg tablets
-tick twister

Each kit also includes two double sided cards. One has instructions for everything in the kit, important emergency numbers and a safe Benadryl dose for unexpected bug bites and allergic reactions. The other card has a homemade remedy if your pets sprayed by a skunk and household items that can stop nails from bleeding.
