Our aim at Poplar Ridge Ranch is to provide you with best equine services we can; please feel free to comment, ask questions and submit recommendations so we can make this possible. HORSE TRAINING: These services include and are not limited to colt starting, finishing/fine tuning, problem solving, miles etc. Our aim is to produce horses that are good at what they do so you can enjoy what you want

to do with them, whether in the show pen, on the ranch or on the trails. LESSONS: We focus on quality, not quantity and aim to bring the value and understanding of good horsemanship into as many people’s lives as possible no matter which direction they go in the Equine world. TRAIL RIDES: Join us for a ride in this beautiful country on our experienced horses. We cater to riders of all experience levels and offer rides in all the seasons. There’s no better way to see the world than from the back of a horse! CAMPS: We offer a variety of camps for children and adults, from two days to four days. Our camps are packed full of knowledge and fun experiences with the horses and you are sure to leave with memories that will last a lifetime. BIRTHDAY PARTIES/FIELD TRIPS/COMMUNITY EVENTS etc: Looking for something that’s a little ‘out of the box’? Contact us and let us know your ideas and we will see how we can help. We love having the opportunity to bring horses into peoples lives in any manner we can. CLINICS: We offer 2 or 3 day clinics; beginner to advanced. Halloween Spooktacular!

👻Saturday Oct. 25🎃

Join us for a day of spooks..literally!
Build confidence and enhance your training through fun and engaging challenges.

🧟‍♂️9am-12pm mini clinic
$100/participant
Registration required for the clinic portion.
Includes coaching in the morning and access to the course in the afternoon.
Work your horse on the ground and/or under saddle.
We will help you establish leadership and trust, build their confidence and yours and develop controls and cues that will help you navigate obstacles and overcome challenges as you move forward with your horse’s training.

🧛‍♂️12-5pm Open Obstacle Course
$30/person
Bring one horse or a handful. Work through the course at your leisure. Coaching available on obstacles if you would like.
Open for drop-ins, no registration required, though if you know you’re coming a message to let us know would be great!

We have some really cool Halloween themed obstacles and have a variety of obstacles to challenge you and your horse, whether you’re on the ground working a yearling or riding your old broke mount.

🔥Enjoy some candy and warm beverages around the fire and pack a lunch if you would like!

We will also have a Costume Contest with prizes for the best dressed horse and/or rider! Get creative! 🧞‍♂️🧌🧚🧝‍♀️🦹‍♀️🦸

Please tie to your horse trailer or at the hitching rails by the indoor.

Cash has just completed 30 days of training at Poplar Ridge Ranch and much like his siblings, he’s shown just how versatile and trainable this cross is!

Cash is light on his feet, a smooth ride and is keen to please. Whether you’re wanting to do barrels, rope, work on the ranch — or anything in between— Cash will not only get the job done, he’ll make you look good doing it.
He is proving to have a great work ethic and is already settling into the life of a working horse very well.

He’s had 2 intermediate youth ride him (under instruction, and no this doesn’t mean he’s kid safe) and has even been rode in rain, hail and thunder which he handled exceptionally well.
With only 30 days of training, this c**t is progressing very well; buyer should be experienced riding c**ts or send to a trainer to further bring him along.
If the buyer wishes, Cash can continue his training at Poplar Ridge Ranch. Please contact to discuss.

✅ Up to date on farrier and dewormer
✅ Stands for farrier, bathing and sprays
✅ Thorough ground work. Well mannered
✅ Ponies by quad or horse
✅ Rides W/T/L in arena and out
✅ Started with the basics under saddle: flex laterally and vertically, disengage hind quarters, yield to leg pressure and direct/indirect rein, turn on haunch
✅ Used to machinery and obstacles
✅ Worked the flag a few times- basic understanding and tracking the flag.
✅ Has had a rope swung off him, carried tarps, and flags
