Monday night was a night where I got to use my grooming skills to really help a special little dog. Oliver was an owner surrender to a rescue due to some mental health issues. A very kind customer of mine volunteers as a foster for Don't Furry Be Happy. She texted me on Sunday with a photo of this poor creature who was in desperate need of help. Oliver was unrecognizable as a dog when he came in. He basically looked like road kill. The smell was top level putrid requiring us to spray our masks with a few shots of dog cologne to try to mask the smell. Oliver was an absolute angel through the entire process. It took 1 1/2 hours just to get the fur shaved off of his body. The fur weighed in at 1.3 pounds off of a 10lb dog. I'm super thankful we didn't find anything too terrible under all this heavy matting - a few little sores and some rashy skin only. He was a super happy boy when he left sporting his new sweater to replace the awful coat of fur he'd been wearing. He will be off to the vet shortly for a good check up and should be ready to adopt soon. If anyone is looking for a sweet little man to spend your days with Oliver may be just the guy for you!

Happy Easter! Kissable K9 is retuning on Thursday April 27th to Country Cuts n' Kennel to shine up some more dog smiles! Cost is $189 plus tax, ($50 plus tax deposit required at time of booking). The appointment takes roughly an hour and your pup's will remain wide awake the whole time. Call 705-437-3923 to book your spot now!

Kissable K9 is returning on Wednesday February 1st for canine dental cleaning. The process is completed while your dog is fully awake and takes roughly 1 hour. The cost is $189 plus tax per dog. Appointments can be made by calling 705-437-3923 and providing a $56.50 deposit by e-transfer or credit card over the phone.

Exciting News in Dog Boarding! Paws Above - Dog Daycare, Rescue and Training - will be taking over the day to day operations of the Kennel at Country Cuts n' Kennel! Ola and Jeff Gentle have 20 plus years of dog care experience. They currently run a dog care facility in King City and have been looking to expand. They will be a great resource for the Pefferlaw area and will continue to take wonderful care of your furry family members.

I will be handing over the reins to Paws Above as of May 1st. Any boarding that is already booked for after that date will be honored at the current rate. Ola and her staff will be in touch to ensure she has all the current information for you and your pets prior to their stay.
