Homes for the Holidays, we’re all screaming with excitement (demonstrated by young Theo)

Christmas came early for the kitties of PAWS, they’ve updated their addresses and are settling into their new homes just in time for Santa to deliver.

We are so grateful for everyone that chooses to from local shelters and provide these animals with a lifetime of love, care and treats 🐾

🌟 Meet Aurora! 🌟

This 10-year-young beauty is looking for a peaceful home where she can truly thrive. Aurora came to us after the stress of living with kids led to some accidents, but our vets have given her a clean bill of health. Since arriving at the shelter, she’s already shown huge improvement!

Aurora is chatty, curious, and loves human attention—but she’s not a fan of other cats. She’s dreaming of a quiet home without kids or other felines where she can be the center of your world. She’s also great with dogs!

Not ready to adopt? Please consider fostering! Aurora isn’t loving being around other cats at the shelter, and a calm environment could make all the difference for her.

🐾 Lyra and Orion Are Still Waiting! 🐾

These two are the last of their litter, and honestly, we can’t figure out why! Lyra and Orion are everything you could want in feline companions—full of personality and charm.

✨ Lyra: If you’re looking for a professional snuggler, she’s your girl. Once shy, she’s now a lap-loving purr machine who’ll keep you warm and make sure you know exactly how adored you are.

✨ Orion: This guy is your go-to supervisor. He’s always on hand to observe, pass judgment, and ensure you’re doing everything just right. Whether you’re folding laundry or scrolling Instagram, Orion will make sure he’s keeping an eye on the situation.

Together, they’re the perfect pair—equal parts snuggler and snoop. If you’re in the market for a duo to love, judge, and entertain you, Lyra and Orion could be the cats for you. 🎅 Thank You for an Incredible Santa Paws Event! 🎅

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our Santa Paws event on Sunday such a success, and to everyone who donated or purchased an item from our online auction. We’re still counting, but we estimate we’ve raised an incredible $13,000 to support PAWS! 🐾✨

A special shoutout to Robyn, Rachel, and Lori for organizing an amazing auction, and to James for again being the best Santa in town! 🥰 We also couldn’t do this event every year without the incredible support of our hosts, —thank you for your continued generosity.

🐾 Still Searching for a Foster or Foster-to-Adopt for Watson! 🐾

We’re still on the lookout for the perfect match for Watson, our big-hearted, goofy boy who deserves a warm home indoors, especially with temperatures dropping. We can’t understand why he hasn’t been scooped up yet! Watson may be a little nervous with new people and situations, but once he warms up, he’s a snuggly, silly, couch-cuddle enthusiast.

Here’s what Watson is specifically looking for in his foster or foster-to-adopt home:
• A quiet home without kids or roommates
• Someone comfortable working with large breed dogs who may be a bit nervous
• A household without lots of visitors to keep his environment calm
• A commitment to his positive reinforcement, force-free training
• Someone who doesn’t work long hours outside the house and can provide him with companionship
• Local to the Sea-to-Sky area (for multiple visits to the shelter to build trust before taking him home)
• A longer-term foster, as Watson is sensitive and does best with stability, avoiding frequent returns to the shelter

Watson is fantastic with other animals—he loves cats, chickens, horses, and especially other dogs, who he can play with all day! He’s amazing on walks and, with someone he trusts, is calm and confident. Watson just needs a bit more socialization and the chance to live a regular doggy life to become the happy, well-rounded boy he wants to be. Anyone who has got to know Watson would be able to tell you what a special boy he is. We know his perfect people are out there ♥️

Are you ready to make a real difference? Our shelter is virtually entirely volunteer run and thrives thanks to our dedicated team. We are on the hunt for more passionate individuals to join us!

Role Description:

🐾 Your key tasks:
-Care for our animals.
-Maintain feeding routines.
-Keep living spaces clean and tidy.
-Administer daily medications and supplements.
- Walk dogs

Qualifications:
-MUST be comfortable working with large and anxious doggos
-No experience needed but it is an asset (we provide comprehensive training)
-Physically fit (may be required to move food bags and chunky puppies)
-Be able to commit to at least one 2-hour shift per week for at least 6 months.
-Comfortable with both cats and dogs (especially large dogs)
-Must be 19+ years old.

🎉 Happy Tails Alert: Pebbles Has Found Her Forever Home! 🎉

We’re overjoyed to share that sweet Pebbles, now lovingly renamed Khyber, has found her perfect match! She quickly made herself right at home in her foster mom’s house—and heart—proving they were truly a match made in heaven. Another wonderful foster fail! ❤️ We can’t wait to see all the adventures you two will share together. Congratulations to Khyber and her amazing new mom!
