Universal

Karen MacIntyre (USA) & Jaecar vom Mack-Zwinger heeling in front of Obedience Judge Manfred Drescher (Germany) at the 2021 WUSV Universal World Championship. Jaecar is BHOT which means Bred, Handled, Owned and Trained by the contestant. To take a BHOT dog to a world championship is extraordinary. With commitment and reasonable feel for the dog, most can excel in one or two of these elements. It is rare to see someone achieve three of the elements. And it is extraordinary to see all four elements at World Championship level. Usually high level competitors will specialize in one or two elements and will hire experts in the other elements.

The Universal World Championship combines proving the dogs working ability with the IGP test and then showing in the ring. The combination of placement of the two provide the overall finish ranking. The goal is a dog with the best conformation attributes with proven working ability. Bravo to Karen & Jaecar on this amazing achievement.
