"We want to provide clear and accurate information regarding the current avian influenza (AI) outbreak and reaffirm the safety of Pets Go Raw products. The health and well-being of your customers and their pets remain our top priority.

While this outbreak has gained traction recently, it is part of an ongoing situation affecting wild and domestic birds since 2021, with similar outbreaks in Canada in 2015 and 2006. Here are some key points about the safety measures in place and the quality of our products:

Regulated Poultry Sources: All our poultry is sourced from CFIA-regulated producers in Canada. Producers work under strict guidelines established by CFIA, provincial, and federal authorities to minimize the spread of AI. Poultry undergoes extensive testing within 72 hours of movement. Any flocks testing positive are not moved. Additional health assessments and inspections, including antemortem checks by CFIA officials, ensure only healthy birds are processed.

Good Manufacturing Practices: We adhere to stringent manufacturing practices, sourcing raw materials exclusively from trusted, safe suppliers.

Thorough Quality Control: Multiple quality control checks are conducted throughout our manufacturing process to guarantee the safety and high quality of our products.

Zero Reported Cases in Pets: To date, there are no known cases of AI infection in pets resulting from raw pet food produced in Canada.

Exclusively Canadian Poultry: Pets Go Raw exclusively sources poultry from Canada. We do not use poultry from U.S. producers.

Confidence in Our Products: We feed Pets Go Raw products to our own pets. If we didn’t trust the safety of our products, we wouldn’t feed them to our animals.

Low Risk to Pets: The risk of AI infection to pets from raw pet food, particularly a product like ours, is extremely low.

These rigorous safety measures ensure that our poultry-based products continue to meet the highest standards of safety and quality."
