Kdawgs Pet Services currently has openings for private walks, private training, leash training walks and reactivity exposure training on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the afternoons only. All services are based on safe temperatures and safe exposure practices.

Currently the hike and train, socialization program is full until mid September.

Owners please keep an eye for these symptoms in our furry friends! Many people don’t know or see the signs until it’s too late and dogs are in pain 😭

My number one advice for prevention of problems is a healthy diet, healthy weight and safe exercise routine. If your dog has these symptoms I highly recommend an opinion from a veterinarian!

Rattlesnakes!

Here in the Okanagan we have a very dangerous snake that can do severe damage to our dogs if they came in contact with it. The Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.

Over the years I have encountered these snakes in my group hikes, and I have trained my pack “snake safety” training. They are present in our world and it’s important we do the necessary training ourselves to ensure we aren’t in a scenario where our dogs could get critically injured!

I am offering a snake training course for dogs and owners to ensure we are all ready and able to manage a situation if need be!

Just wanted to thank all my clients for their amazing patience with this cold weather and the unfortunate cancellations.
I have missed my outings and the pups so much! Safe to say I’ll never be quitting!
We are back up and running and I am doing my very best to ensure everyone is getting a spot for their pup. Apologies for the many messages in trying to coordinate things. You all rock!

My cat does tricks

Muzzles are good! Muzzle train your dog! Brutus is a 8.5 year old dog who has previous injuries that cause him pain. A dog in pain can react to said pain with their mouth, so muzzling is the safest option to ensure he can receive the care he needs without any risks. Positively associating a muzzle is absolutely critical. There are many situations where your dog may have to be muzzled. Some examples are: at the vet, a car accident, a house fire, or who knows what else. The best thing you can do for your dog is set them up for success if they ever have to encounter a muzzle. Here is a brief video of 8.5 year old Brutus learning to love his new basket muzzle!

UPDATE: Animal control came and he is safe with his owners! Very scared black lab looking dog on Commercial way, barking and will not let anyone get close. We've left a message with animal control. What can we do?! Please share!
