Will miss you so much beautiful Nugget ❤️❤️

SHARED from Pugalug Pug Rescue. Thank you to Nugget's foster family for providing Nugget with love and dedicated care. Thank you to Pugalug Pug Rescue for supporting Nugget's medical needs after we closed. We are very grateful to all involved. Nugget was one of a kind 🐾 run free sweet girl.

It was with great sadness and love that we said goodbye to foster dog Nugget yesterday (Friday) afternoon. Nugget turned 14 in May, having been taken into palliative foster care with Under My Wing in November, 2023. Pugalug assumed responsibility for her this past June. Foster mom notified us that Nugget had a bad night on Thursday with diarrhea and a hunched back probably indicating pain. She took her to the vet yesterday morning and they did diagnostics - blood work and an X-ray. The news was not good. They saw a mass in Nugget’s chest and fluid and inflammation in her lungs. While most of her blood results were good, there was evidence of anaemia. But the worst news was that Nugget was having difficulty breathing which got worse during the day. We agreed with the vet’s recommendation to humanely euthanize Nugget to put an end to her respiratory distress. Her passing was peaceful with loving foster mom beside her.

Special thanks and heartfelt condolences to Nugget's foster mom and dad who took her in knowing her days were numbered, gave her the best of care and who loved her deeply.

Nugget was a special pug-lady. Run free and breathe deep, sweet girl.

Our time with our furbabies is all too short. Hug them while you can and cherish the pawprints they leave in our hearts.

Maxie is in need of a new home . This friendly, playful guy is 7 yrs old and in good health. He is up to date on vaccines and health exams. He will be going in for a check up Sept 10 prior to him going to a new home. , to ensure all is well.

Maxie owner has had to move into an assisted seniors home and could not bring Maxie.
Maxie has lived with other cats before and lives to play and wrestle. He’s a very social and active boy. He is indoor only ,but loves going out into his catio .

Maxie needs a home with adults only and no dogs. That’s what he is used to and anything else would cause him undo stress.
He likes everyone he meets.
His adoption fee is waved to a suitable home .

🐾They will be the last Saturday of every month, starting August 31 10am-12pm. $10 cash donation per pet (the funds go to the cats in care) and no appointment needed.🐾

Biscuits & Purrs Cat Rescue will be joining us and their veterinarian will be conducting a fundraiser microchip clinic at the event!

Dog owners, are you aware that all dogs crossing the US/Canada border will be legally required to be microchipped as of August 1, 2024? Here’s your chance to have a microchip implanted and registered by us for $35/pet! You won’t find a much better rate!!! First come, first serve.

They will have all sorts of things cats for people to check out. Come talk to them about their cat rescue and horse sanctuary.

EDIT: RABBIT HAS BEEN SAVED - WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF FUNDS HOWEVER

It has come to our attention that this pretty bun is set to be euthanized TOMORROW at a Quebec shelter that is overrun.
We don’t normally intake rabbits, however we feel drawn to help this poor girl out.
(We do have our own personal rabbits so we understand the care requirements for them)

In order for us to intake, we need to following help from our followers:

- large dog crate (or an X-pen)
- hay
- a foster
- to raise $500 for vetting/spay and vaccine for this little one

*WE NEED TO GET MOST OF THESE BY END OF DAY TODAY IN ORDER TO SAVE HER**

A year ago today we were blessed with a baby Talia 💜🐶

Seeing a sad puppy, terrified of people, we knew she need us as much as we needed her. The love this puppy has brought has been incredible! From the first few days of not leaving her bed or coming near us, to being my little turkey that follows me everywhere, it has always been worth it 💜🥹

Never again will you be that scared little puppy my baby T 💜🐾💜 Happy gotcha day my girl 💜
