Our Story

A bit about Casa O Kamolot

I have been a registered CKC breeder for many years to many to remember, first started out with Chow Chows, then due to allergies in the family we found the Portuguese Water Dog in 2001, and finally the Lagotto in 2016! We are a registered Kennel with our Township and inspected yearly and follow the guidelines set out by them.

We live on 9.5 acres just outside the lovely City of Peterborough.Lots of room for the dogs to play in the fenced area. Our daughter is only 15 minutes away in Millbrook and who has also taken up the family tradition of breeding Portuguese Water Dogs, Kristiane and I work together on supporting each other in our devours which has worked out great! Our son has his own PWD a family pet for his family also.

Now at home here it is just Dave and I at home and our dogs are our buddies, with visits from our family and friends as we get older the breeding of the dogs has gotten slower maybe 2 litters a year. If you breed dogs in my eyes you do it right or not at all! Our girls are bred 3 times at the most if the girls are in good shape and retired usually around 4 years of age so they can move on to new furever homes and have a wonderful life. You say how can they do that?? Well it is never easy but it is for the best for the girls to be in a home where they are the only and only spoiled rotten, and I am in contact with their families most whom have been waiting years for the girls. We build up a great relationship before the girls are placed.I cry when they leave and mope around for days but know for the best.
