I did close the shop down the shop for new clients and alot of regulars because I do need to rest but I thought I'd give it a try.
This guy is an old man, I've been doing for a long time.
He even used to come to our oshawa location.
I decided to give it a try because of his age and it was tiring but I managed.

I have been doing some thinking.
How do my clients feel if I decided to look for another groomer to groom while I'm off my feet.
I am able to come to my shop and supervise. The grooming aspect unfortunately is hard still.

Would you prefer to wait for me?
Would you be ok with another groomer?

When you realize how much your clients love you.
It reminds me that even if i can't work right now, this is temporary and when I'm ready my business will blossom and flourish into something amazing.

Hey everyone, I've gotten second and third opinions on my foot. Unfortunately it is considered a zone 3 jones fracture which means I will more then likely need surgery.
It is in constant aches and pains now. I have been told by other foot doctors that I should not be walking or putting weight on my foot.
That being said I will still be trying to do some regulars here and there but unfortunately won't be taking new clients or working full time every day. That being said I will need some of my clients to still go to another groomer until I know more answers.
I do see the dr again on January 29th and will have for sure answers by then.

Thank you to all my clients that have been so kind and helpful during this time.
It hasn't been easy. It's been quite the emotional rollar coaster. I'm truly grateful to have such amazing clients.

This is my little set up for walking.
Yes, it gets me up, on my feet doing things but it's very sore and hard to do things.
With being on a lot of bed rest and sitting my back muscles and core aren't as strong for me to lift dogs or stand for long periods of time. That being said I am hoping for good news from the doctor and to be able to take on a few dogs before christmas.

Jax and cookie.
They may not be perfect because it's my first day back in 5 weeks.
Jax wouldn't sit still for his face today because he was so happy so I did the best I could.
It was extremely hard and tiring. My body was extremely sore. I won't be back full time but I will try the odd days.
I won't be able to do big dogs unfortunately for a little bit longer.

Hi everyone.
Bad news
Unfortunately I am not cleared to work as my injury was only 2 and half weeks ago. With this injury if I don't take it easy I will be guaranteed to go for surgery and off another 6 months for healing time and physio so it is very important that I follow everything my specialist says.
I will admit. I thought getting this iwalk would magically make everything easier and that I could jump back into work.
I was wrong.
Spend all yesterday and today using it, I am really sore. I am barely walking around, only to go to the washroom or grab lunch from the kitchen but I am so sore I feel like I can barely make it to bed at the end of the day and have little cries almost daily of frustration that I can't get up and do things.

This conclusion tells me and my Dr that I am not ready for work and pushing too fast or too much means I could injure myself all over again. As much as I love my job. I should he healthy and safe before I come back to work.

Thank you to all those that have been super supportive and I understand needing to go to another groomer until I am ready to come back. If you're willing to drive I still have my old coworkers number in newtonville that has been grooming for a very long time.

Great news everyone. I may be back to work in a week or 2.
My mom ordered an iwalk crutch for me to use. Basically a crutch that I rest my knee onto. Strap it on and then I have a peg leg which makes it possible for me to walk around hands free with putting weight on my foot.
I will need to practice this week so I won't be back to work right away and I'll still have to take a cab as I cant drive.
I dont know if ill be able to handle full days but a few dogs here and there shouldn't hurt.
Unfortunately I won't be able to do most big dogs until I've gotten the clear from the drm
