Support local CANADIAN grooming business and not a USA corporation!
Notice to clients: In response to the USA’s imposed tariffs, we will be transitioning away from products made in America to products manufactured in Canada. Our goal is to maintain the same (or better!) quality pet grooming you have come to expect from us while trialing some new products. We are seeing a marked increase in pancreatitis cases after the Christmas holidays! New treats, table scraps, and bones are the biggest culprits for landing many dogs in the ER with GI upset. Pancreatitis is a painful condition usually characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and inappetence. If your pet is showing these signs, please have them evaluated right away! Pancreatitis can range from mild (some outpatient medications) to severe (intensive care in the hospital for several days) so it is important to have them evaluated sooner rather than later. 🏥

No-shows are never cool. It’s especially not cool when there are multiple no shows (and no call!) during an ice storm and we have to wait, hoping people will have the courtesy to let us know they can’t make it.
Pet groomers are traditionally paid commission, when you don’t show up, we don’t get paid. Our current policy states that we charge 50% of any appointment canceled without 24 hours notice but of course situations (like ice storms!) happen and we are very understanding but common courtesy is expected.
Our system sends automatic reminders via email and text. Let us know if you are not receiving reminders.
This situation hurts everyone because no shows affect our bottom line and therefore affect pricing. Just call if you can’t make it for your appointment ✌🏼 🐾

Let’s talk about the Google review we just received. This person is upset because we used our judgement, based on 150 years + combined professional grooming experience to NOT book her senior dogs for the first time during our busiest season.
Here’s the thing. We LOVE senior dogs. Honestly, the amount of compassion we give to our senior clients is one of things I am most proud of. Whether we need to book extra time to give older pets more breaks or book them at a quieter time if they get overwhelmed or split the service into more than one appointment we will do it. More times than not, senior pets need accommodations to make the experience as stress-free as possible. Unfortunately, we do not know these particular dogs and do not want to risk not being able to make accommodations for them due to December being near capacity.
Turning away a paying customer doesn’t always seem like a smart thing to do but despite what this review states we ARE the professionals and will do what we feel is the best interest of your pet, even if it means an inconvenience. As always, safety and the health of our clients is our #1 priority. P.S. if you have had an experience with our groomers supporting you with your senior or sensitive pet, feel free to leave a review. Sometimes people forget to mention positive experiences!
