"When we discovered Heronview, we realized
that raw feeding does not have to be pricy. We
love the fact that you can buy a variety of
meats packed in small amounts. One day Ellie
will have ground chicken with bone, offal and
tripe, the next she will get game, a bit of
tongue, half a chicken carcass, some offal and
tripe, then the day after it will be time for beef.
We have also been giving her the K9 Feedsentials. I wish I lived closer to Heronview and

Today is scorching. When you come to the store if you can bring a cooler it will keep your food from melting on the way home. If no cooler then put something under the food so there is no mess in your vehicle. Putting a blanket on top will also help keep the cold air in . As always please remember to bring a box if you do not have a cooler.

This is Doris. Doris is our clean up crew. She loves picking at the dogs leftover bones. I always leave them for her. She has been hanging around for a couple years. Last year she brought her kids.

Hot summer days can make for picky eaters. I find stuffed windpipes help with even the fussiest eaters. This is stuffed with rabbit/ duck blend. Layer then some goats milk and a couple smelts a bit more then bits of beef heart. A few pieces of lung or liver. Some broccoli. Then the rest. I topped with goat feta and freeze dried duck eggs with some blueberries on top. Oh their supplements are mixed in. Wrap and freeze. Give them this outside as it is messy. The treats and different textures make them think it is a treat instead of a meal. You could make smaller ones filled with just offal and tripe . If really fussy use the dehydrated windpipes and stuff same way.

Let's talk about p**p
When your pet is on a raw food diet, you will
notice that they p**p less and in smaller
amounts!
With no filler products, feeding fresh food is
highly digestible. Your dog and cat can absorb
more nutrients and have less waste. Bonus is
the p**p turns white and disappears!

Cats are obligate carnivores. This means they need a diet of meat to thrive. Cat's naturally do not drink a lot of water as they would be getting most of their moisture from food. Cats do not make their own Taurine so do require taurine in their diet this is easily met with a raw diet. Best plus of a cat eating raw , no litter box smell !!
