Let’s get this boy a home!

🎉 Let’s Make Veeran’s Birthday Wish Come True! 🎉

Veeran is turning ONE in just a week, and all he wants for his birthday is a loving forever home to call his own. ❤️

Veeran is a Rottweiler mix that is full of potential, but he’s still working on building his confidence and overcoming some resource-guarding tendencies. He’s a young boy with a bright future, but he needs a home where his humans will understand his needs. Veeran is looking for an adult-only home where he can thrive, and can be cat-tested or assess his compatibility with other dogs.

This lucky boy has already been shown so much love! Thanks to the incredible generosity of Nina Armstrong and Jenny Blas, who have both donated $500, as well as Quinterideforpaws with another $500 towards his training. Black Hill Dog Company, who have graciously offered to cover the remaining cost of a board-and-train package, Veeran is getting all the tools he needs to become the best version of himself. We are so grateful for Blackhill’s continued support of local dogs in need—it truly takes a village!

Together Black Hill Dog Company, Quinterideforpaws, Nina Armstrong , Jenny Blas and Rhodes' House Dog Rescue will help Veeran become and amazing companion. Veeran at 11 months old needs a little help with training and confidence. After adoption Veeran can leave the shelter and stay at Blackhill for training. This is an amazing package you will receive a dog that is nurtured, needles, micro chipped by the shelter then training by one of the best trainers for your adoption fee.

Veeran is still up for adoption.
Quinte Ride for Paws would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Blackhill Dog Company, an exceptional dog training facility. Veeran will soon embark on an incredible journey at Blackhill, where he'll receive a comprehensive package to ensure a seamless transition into his new home. At just 11 months old, Veeran is a young dog with a unique personality - playful, yet struggling with confidence. Every so often, a dog like Thor comes our way.

He was extremely unpredictable, highly reactive, and worked with multiple different trainers with very little success.

We are so happy to say that near the end of his stay, and endorsed by his owners since he’s been home, Thor’s reactivity towards other dogs and people has diminished to next to nothing.

To be able to help dogs like Thor stay with their families and constructively work through behavioural issues is a privilege we do not take for granted.

We’d like to officially introduce our newest Randall’s House resident, Daisy! Through absolutely no fault of her own, Daisy is available for adoption to the right home.

Some info on Daisy:
🌼 She is a 5 year old, 70lb mastiff mix, and is spayed.

🌼 An affectionate goofball, Daisy will never leave your side once she’s comfortable with you. She loves to spend time with her people and shower them with love.

🌼 She’s super smart and loves to learn new tricks, especially when treats are involved!

🌼 Daisy can be nervous around men, and although she loves kids, she tends to forget her size and can get a little too excited at times.

🌼 She’s had lots of training at and knows both basics and more advanced commands like ‘look’ and ‘touch’.

Daisy would do best in a home with no other cats/dogs as she can be reactive, older children who know how to navigate her size, and lots of space to run and play. Someone with experience owning high energy dogs and dogs with reactivity is a must.
