For the week of January 13, 2025

This week we're featuring a duo who is being fostered off site named Waldorf (left) and Statler (right). They are both male short hair cats who are 13-14 week old litter mates. Waldorf is an orange tabby and Statler is a grey tabby. They are both litter trained and clean cats. They get along well with the other adult cat in the home and could be adopted separately or together and could be placed with other pets. Waldorf is a bit more shy at first but both cats are friendly. They will likely need at least a few days to decompress and acclimatize to a new space.

For the week of January 6, 2025

Happy new year everyone! This week we are featuring a lovely short hair torty duo named Lucinda (top) and Marble (bottom). They are sisters who are approximately 2 years old and they are both spayed. Marble is the more outgoing of the two but they are both friendly, cuddly and playful. They came from a home with kids and we were told they were very patient and well behaved. We would love to see Lucinda and Marble find a home together.

For the week of December 30, 2024

For the final Pet of the Week for 2024 we are highlighting Buck, a very handsome short hair grey tabby. He is approximately 4 years old and is neutered. Buck is a friendly boy who likes adults, kids, other cats - and we're even told he gets along well with dogs! Buck would be the perfect addition to any home.

UPDATE: claimed by owner

FOUND: buff (orange) and white long hair cat found in Wellington. No microchip. Appears to be a neutered male and middle aged. Large cat, appears to have been outside for a while.

For the week of December 23, 2024

This week we are featuring two beautiful kittens - not because they are bonded or need to be together but just because we would love each of them to get homes very soon! On the left is Yana, a short hair grey tabby and on the right is Freedom, a short hair calico. Both cats are female, approximately 4-5 months old and are very sweet. Yana is outgoing and personable whereas Freedom is a bit more reserved, but very sweet and is good being held.

For the week of December 16, 2024

This week we are featuring Tabitha, a female short hair tabby (with a small white tip at the end of her tail) who is approximately 3-4 years old. She has been a mother several times but is now spayed and ready for adoption. Tabitha is very people friendly but would be happiest as an only pet.

What a fantastic evening and fundraiser for the Loyalist Humane Society in Prince Edward County. A volunteer run organization helping the homeless animals in our community.
$1,876.00 raised this year including $1,240.00 that has been donated for this Humane Society Fundraiser in memory of Dukes volunteer Dieter Bidner. UPDATE: Zero and O'Malley have found a home and we are so thankful to all of you who shared their photo!

We're not giving up hope for Zero and O'Malley to find their forever home. They are a bonded pair who just need a quiet and patient home - once they are comfortable they are so very sweet, they just need extra time to decompress. Don't let their initial shyness fool you, they have lots of love to give!

This week we are featuring Cynthia, a sweet young girl looking for a home. Cynthia is about a year and a half old and has already been a mom. She is a short hair black cat with a tiny whisper of a white bib. Cynthia is a very sweet girl who enjoys pets.

It's almost the holidays and we're getting into the festive spirit with Sandy Paws - a sweet 9-10 month old kitten. Sandy Paws is a short hair buff tabby. When he first arrived he was very underweight but he has been doing great packing on the (necessary) pounds. He is a very people friendly cat and would make a great pet.
