Our fabulous CARMA friend Valerie has given the Community Cats a wonderful Christmas gift !

**HOME FOR CHRISTMAS**
Scallop has been adopted to a family with a little girl who showed him patience and truly understood he needed a little time to warm up (he had never met a child before). His name will be Bruce (decided by Lily) and he will have a big cat sister they call Cream who loves to play.
Great thanks to all of those who got on board to spread the word. You are the reason we connect these community cats to fantastic homes.

As we experience our first big winter storm of the season, we are thankful for all the cats and kittens we have been able to provide shelter for, and adopt out to families that provide a safe, warm home for them. This grey and white polydactyl sweetheart would love to meet you and make 2025 the best yet! We suspect he had a scary time out there in the wilderness, but is loving the idea of growing up inside a warm home as long as there are constant snuggles. All he wants for Christmas is a home.
We estimate him to be 16 weeks. This guy is a snuggle-bomb and when he gets into a pet, he melts like butter. The hardest part is putting him down!
He would do best with a playmate. He plays very well with other cats, juveniles, and kittens. Once he gets into a snuggle, he wants his whole head and face rubbed all at once! He is hoping you will let him sleep with you.
Scallop has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, has been neutered, parasite-treated and vaccinated. You may have heard of Sasquatch's adoption on the radio. Scallop is Sasquatch's brother!

Our most recent and hopefully last litter of kittens of 2024. Sadly there really is no such thing as 'kitten season'. These two appeared at the barn colony where we have been working; their mom did a great job of keeping them safe and well hidden until last week! Although scared, they are young and will respond to socialization. Please note they are not available for adoption at this time.

Christmas came early again this year thanks to Margie Garland and Gwen Doyle who, through their annual food drive, donated a car load of food, treats, litter, p*e pads and money!! We are so incredibly grateful to these two beautiful cat loving souls and their friends and supporters! They are truly making a difference in the lives of the community cats!!

On April 7, 2024 we posted about a poor older boy who had significant wounds and broken teeth and who we were hoping would surrender to love. Well surrender he did... fabulous Fulton is an absolute love bug!! Despite what must have been horrific years outside he is doing great and by great we mean that his diagnosis of diabetes appears to be managed; 3units once a day and we are finally seeing some small sign of wound healing. Fulton is the perfect example of why we do what we do - maybe they all cant be brought inside as pet cats but they can be helped and given true quality of life! A big THANK YOU to Dr. Hodder & crew at Abercrombie Animal Hospital for all their wonderful care of Fulton and the countless others!

For us the key to trapping is to place the trap days earlier and to start feeding the cats in the trap so they are comfortable going in and a routine is established. Some tasty food also helps, on chilly mornings we serve it up warm, making it harder for them to resist. And... we cross our fingers that they cooperate 🙂.
