A late Christmas picture too cute not to share ... Purrcy was a TNR Cat that was welcomed into a great home earlier this year . This is an update from his forever family:
Purrcy is our CARMA cat. He now spends most of the day inside and sleeps inside overnight. We never thought we would be able to get him in the house. Purrcy and Orange have become great friends. Purrcy still needs to work on a few inside manners but they are getting better every day.

Have you heard ... Sandy's Ice Cream donated a huge portion of their pup cup sales to CARMA ... So ... just so you'll know, pup cups really are for cats too!

When TNR (trap/neuter/return) caregivers go a step further....
These 2 beautiful cats were offered a chance to be warm , well fed & be a part of a loving family. How fortunate they are & how happy this makes our volunteers !
From their family, an update on Fawn and Wesley: they have been with us for almost 4 weeks and they are adjusting well!
We are enjoying them so much!! We have been slowly introducing them to our other cats and they are fitting in extremely well!
We’re happy to give them their forever home.

Do you need a cuddle queen in your household?
Mimosa might be the answer to all you have been hoping for!
She is a great blend of affectionate and curious. She is currently in a room with houseplants and is not interested in destroying them! She also is not interested in scratching the furniture! We recognize she may have just become the most desired cat on the internet! It sure doesn't hurt that she is beautiful and unique looking. She is patient and she is kind. She is a good snuggler and enjoys just being near, observing the world with you.

We believe Mimosa is a yearling, give or take a month or two. With food, warmth and safety, she has put on some excellent muscle, and her fur is beginning to shine. She is healthy and happy, and an enthusiastic greeter.

She enjoys belly rubs, butt scratches and full force facial scrubs across her whiskers! She is just beginning to play with wand toys. Often, when cats have to hunt to feed themselves, their play instincts are reserved for food-finding. Now that she has had regular food, warmth, safety and affection, she is re-learning that playing can be fun. We are confident that she will continue to develop in her forever home.

She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
Mimosa has been spayed, parasite-treated, and vaccinated.

Valerie, one of CARMA Pictou County’s amazing supporters.
You will sometimes see her at the News Glasgow Market selling her knitting or you will see her hand made cat toys for sale at the Sterling Farm Market in Blue Acres. Throughout the year Valerie knits and sews to raise funds for community cats. We receive several donations a year from Valerie, this week CARMA Pictou County received from Valerie 1000.00. We are so grateful for her ongoing support, we cant do this work without the generosity of people like Valerie.

Once again Margie & Gwen have filled the car !!! Each year these ladies reach out to friends, family, business's & our community to donate food & money to assist not only the cats in CARMA care but also the MacGillivray Law Riverfront Cat Sanctuary cats , Honey's Hamper animal food pantry & with funds to assist the cost of spaying & neutering with SNPC (Spay Neuter Pictou County)cats.
We commend Gwen & Larry, Margie & Andy who continue to make an incredible impact in our rescue community with the generosity of their network of caring individuals, that come together to help these deserving animals every year, through the annual food drive.Thank you so very much to everyone!

Wow ! On this cold rainy day Maddy & David are braving the cold to give their annual Christmas donation to the Community Cats of Pictou County. They are ensuring full bellies for the cats in need as well as kitten food & fun toys for the foster kittens in our care. Thank you & Merry Christmas!
