As of November 17, 2025 we will be finished with our TNR intake until the spring,
working mainly to complete the remainder of the 2025 trapping list.
It is quickly becoming too cold to release cats back outdoors after surgeries.
You may still request to be put on the 2026 list for the warmer weather by leaving your full civic address & contact information, number of cats, as well as a brief description of your situation, on our email [email protected] ,Facebook.com/carmapictou or by phone 782-233-2287
Please remember we are not a shelter, we offer a TNR (trap, neuter, return program) therefore we do not have a place to take cats to, nor do we provide services for pet cats.
All other inquires may be directed to a local Veterinarian or to North Nova SPCA 902-396-3595

**Adoption Update** We love to get updates on our rescues & this one is truly heartwarming. Rescue is not glamorous by any means, however, when we see those sweet little faces & the joy they bring to their family it certainly motivates us to continue to serve the Community Cats of Pictou County.

Hi, I just wanted to bounce you a couple of pics and share with you how much the boys have grown over the past year and a bit. Clark and Clinton, now also know as Bubbaas and Puddy, and more than settled in and quite honestly have taken over the house, with no complaints from me lol. Very healthy boys who love to play and run all hours of the day, but when it’s time to snuggle, all other activities must stop
I can’t thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to adopt these two brothers. A year of many smiles and laughs with many more years to come.
You do an amazing job at rescuing and your efforts are so much appreciated. Keep up the amazing work.
