There are comments I have heard like, "rescue animals are broken" or "they are in a shelter for a reason, or "there is something wrong with them." It's statements like these that clearly project rescue animals as PROBLEMS OR MISFITS. The fact is, humans created this problem. Animals are cast offs to many. It's unfortunate that many of these "so called" misfits and broken animals are in our rescue systems....

They want to assist and are there for you when they see you need a helping hand. Many people will say " I am here for you" but almost always will not be. Very few people actually say what they mean and mean what they say....
