It is an ongoing battle of horsemanship to toe the line of performance vs mental/ physical stability.

Many factors play into the ability to pull the absolute most out of one’s potential, I commend the ones who can do that consistently.

Not often is time on your side, but knowledge always is.

The ability to recognize your own ceiling of knowledge, seek out someone who has more, and put your ego aside to then learn from them and grow yourself,
There isn’t a better formula for success.

Ignorance is not bliss, knowledge is.

The Weight of Authenticity

In my experience, actions will always outweigh words. It’s the true concept of authenticity.

Words can be manipulated, used to deceive, but actions, when taken sincerely, reflect a person’s true intentions and values.

Until proven through actions, a word doesn’t truly hold weight.

The power of role models and social influence is rooted in the observation of behavior.

Ask yourself how you are being influenced by someone around you through words that haven’t been backed by actions, or even worse… for nothing but their own self gain.

In a world full of influencers, Be an authentic one.

She has the size, looks and speed you will need.

With 20 rides on her she has the foundation to go in anyone’s program and be carried on with in the direction of your choosing.

She is the first to meet you at the gate every morning. I have rode and owned multiple of her half siblings. They are all cowy, quick footed and quick thinkers.

AQHA has had complications with DNA on her sires papers and so is just now being processed.
I will continue the process of registering her and once her papers are filed she will be transferred into your name with no cost to you.

Rawhide is the supreme of supreme when it comes to draft x’s.
This palomino gelding has the looks, size, and athletic ability to fill all your dreams in the arena and out.
What he brings to the table is his size and cool head mixed with snappiness and athletic ability.

Rawhide wears a size 1 shoe and has spent his fair share of time putting the miles in on them.

Rawhide has spent time doing the following things;
* Checking/ doctoring in a large scale feedlot
* Checking/ doctoring pasture cattle as well as forestry
* Hauled to skijorings pulling both snowboarders and skiers
* Has been packed in the mountains including hauling out game.
* Worked the flag
* Worked cattle out of a herd
* Tracked the sled and live cattle
* Has been hauled to ranch rodeos for the last 2 summers
* Used to start multiple colts
* Used for minimal amount of lessons with intermediate riders.

Rawhide is very proficient in his reined cowhorse maneuvers ;
Turnaround, flying changes, simple changes, stops and circles.

Rawhide has a lot of try and is always looking for the answers to your questions.
He does not have a mean bone in his body.
He does well with any level of rider but,
He would best suit someone who is wanting to season him in any timed event or HSR.
He would also suit someone who is wanting a fancy ranch horse you can take to town and compete on your weekends.

“Just do the next right thing”

The feeling of uncertainty can bring on a sense of anxiety about the future and the question if you are steering your ship in the right direction. *news flash*
No one gets a map and coordinates for this wild deal.

When you are faced with a challenge that you can’t give an answer to immediately, just do the next right thing.
This will be different than your neighbours “next right thing”. You have your own beliefs, values and priorities.
Each choice is right for you and the moment of time you’re in.

Be honest with yourself, and always remember if you’re struggling to help yourself find the answers, help someone else and you will find your answer in the act of helping others.

I saw/shared a quote the other day saying

“Some people will support you because it’s you, while others will not support you because it’s you.”

Support is rooted in understanding, empathy, and shared values, but it is also influenced by biases, misunderstandings, or differing perspectives.

I find this can be a reminder that not everyone will resonate with who you are, and that’s okay. It takes all kind of kinds last time I heard 🤠

I have a mockup done and have tried them on and guys… I’m so excited/nervous for you guys to see them.
They are unique, they are functional, they are classy and timeless.
I originally thought I would only start with women’s jeans and then move into men’s but no time like the present right?
So the first release will be in both women’s AND men’s sizing.

You’re only as good as your willingness to grow.

This topic will never not be circulating in my brain.

If you’re the best in the room, you need to find a new room.

The absolute purest way for you to see truly how good you are is to compete against others in your field.
If your fear of losing or embarrassment is larger than your want to grow then 👏🏼you👏🏼don’t 👏🏼want👏🏼it👏🏼that👏🏼bad👏🏼.

Here’s one that may ruffle some feathers;

When you compete/ show you are naked and vulnerable to judgment. You will never progress faster than when you are preparing to show others what you truly have.

Anyone can get online and make themselves look like the best, but until you put your money where your mouth is and get off the couch or out of your room full of people telling you you’re the best you will stay stagnant if not depreciate.

Go do something that scares you, Happy hump day 🫡

“Less is more”

I’ve had the privilege to be surrounded by some great stockman over the years.
That goes for dogmen, horsemen, cattlemen etc.
A good stockman can convert their practices to any animal and have success with some practice in tow.

My father immigrated to Canada in 1993, training stockdogs fulltime.
He was what you would call a Dogman. Having OCD on his side he made nothing but phenomenal dogs. There wasn’t room for anything less.

One of the most foundational lessons he taught me was “Less is more”
I had just moved to New Zealand and he accompanied me while we found some dogs along the way so I could start my first shepherding job.

He described this lesson with the volume button on the radio. When asking an animal to do something you start at the very lowest volume. That old car would go up by half a volume bar each time you turned it.
A perfect example. If your stock doesn’t respond to that pressure you go up another half a bar on the volume.
You continue this until you get the desired result and the release back to zero.
He made sure I knew that you always have to start at Zero every single time you asked something of them.

If you begin with your volume already half cranked you will begin to numb your stock. You only have half the scale of pressure to use before you max out your car radio and your now tone deaf stock will either call your bluff or you will always have to use max volume to get anything done.

Everyone has been around someone who uses max volume all day. Everything’s either on edge or numb.

The Max volume is there for a reason but you better have a good one to go that high then retreat back to Zero when the desired result is achieved.

This is one of my favourite analogies to use when remembering “Less is more”. If you have one that makes sense to you comment it below or DM and let’s discuss!

Due to an unfortunate event my yearling Rio will be pulled from the Cut Above Superior Horse Sale.

Thank you to everyone who was interested in him, he may be available in the future but for now I will enjoy him for a little longer.

Out of my great mare “Topsail Patzy”,
She holds a strong bottom side on these papers packed with cowhorse legends as well as reining phenoms.
I trained this mare for 90 days then knew I had to have offspring off of her. She packs a punch with her gritty personality matched with her uncanny physical abilities.
