Gus and Celine have found their people and we are so excited!! Celine went home today and Gus actually was adopted through our partner in Lethbridge, Petsmart, last week (we got sort of crazy with our amazing garage sale and other rodeo events this weekend).
We are so happy for both of these sweet souls!
Celine has a brother and sister still waiting for their new homes so please come in and check out all our amazing cats and kittens ๐ธ
This sweet purry trio is headed to the vet tomorrow morning for their spay/neuter surgeries and will be looking for their new homes ๐
If you've been following us for a while, you might remember Claudia, who had a horrible case of mastitis and couldn't nurse her kittens anymore. Well, these are her 3 kittens who one of our wonderful fosters spent weeks bottle feeding until they were old enough to eat on their own. They then went to another foster home where they have been well socialized with kids, dogs and other cats.
Celine is a super snuggle bug who loves a good shoulder ride
Charlie is the mischievous playful one who is always up for a good game of attack the toy.
Carmen is the most chill of the bunch and couldn't care less about the dogs in the house. She will need a more gradual intro to other cats.
Kittens adoptions are $150 and include deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchip. These kittens will be heading to the shelter after surgery to be available for meet and greets.
Come on down to the ag grounds (beer gardens) at the community hall and get your self some pancakes, sausages with a juice or coffee for 5$

This sweet pup was brought in last night and is safe and warm and getting some much needed food. They don't have any form of ID and we believe them to be around 6-8 months old. If you know who's dog this may be, please contact us at the shelter. We will require proof of ownership. If nobody comes forward, pup will be vetted and ready for adoption soon

We are so grateful for the support we receive for our 50/50's and want to give a huge congratulations to Darilyn for winning July's draw for $470!
The other $470 will get applied to our vet costs for spaying/neutering, vaccinating, deworming and microchipping all the animals that come into our shelter. These are all included in the adoption fee for each animal
Finally.....it's almost time again for our HUGE 2 day Garage Sale! Staff and Board Members are hard at work getting things ready to make this the best Garage Sale ever! And of course, the animals at the Shelter are excited as they know there will be some really fantastic items for everyone at the Sale!

As much as we need the rain, we are betting there are a lot of muddy paws around right now! Bring your furry friend down to the Shelter and try out our Dog Wash! It's super simple to use, not expensive and your dog will love it! Almost like a spa day ๐

Update: we are always blown away by the compassion and support of our community and are happy to say Belle has found a potential retirement home! She will get some time to settle in and make sure it's a good fit and hopefully she has found her new home โค๏ธ
This sweet girl is Belle. She is a senior girl who is needing a retirement home all to herself. Belle was living at the shelter where we thought she would spend out the rest of her life but some of our amazing supporters scooped her up and offered her a wonderful home. Sadly Belles mom passed away a couple of months ago and the family has been trying incredibly hard to integrate her into their home but she just does not feel comfortable with the other animals in the home and is scared and not an ideal environment.
We are hoping someone is willing to open their heart and animal free home to this beautiful girl for the last little bit of her life. Please reach out to us through messenger or phone 403-627-5191 and we would be happy to answer any questions

These boys got a barn to protect from rodents together! We are so happy for Oscar and The Count and so grateful for wonderful people opening their homes and barns to our cats.
Whether you are looking for an older snuggly lap kitty, a playful kitten or a barn cat who will keep the mouse population down, we can usually pair you up with one or two of our amazing cats ๐ฑ and if we don't have the right fit right now, we can always keep you up to date when we get a kitty that might be "the one"

Luna has come into shelter through no fault of hers or her previous owners. It was a very emotional situation for everyone involved and we ask that people refrain from negative comments.
Luna is good around dog savvy cats, kids, and is sometimes dog selective but mostly gets along with them. She is an incredibly energetic shepherd x who loves to swim and play fetch, bonus if it's playing fetch in the water!
Luna is ~6 years old and will need a very active person/family to keep her physically and mentally stimulated. If you are interested in meeting Luna, please reach out to us and we would be happy to answer questions to the best of our ability

We have 2 shampoos to pick from, either regular or the tick and flea shampoo, each with a different scent depending on what you prefer.
$12 for 12 minutes, card or coin (loonies and twoonies only).
Zena is modeling how great it is and all monies raised go towards supporting the animals in care at the shelter, which is over 80 cats and dogs at present.

Bridgertom girls! Daphne, Violet and Francesca are approx 5 months old and ready for their debut into society ๐ Theses sweet girls love to play with each other and other dogs and are young enough to be introduced to cats. They love our staffs older kids and they enjoy the pool on hot days. Their mom is a daschund x shepherd mix and Francesca inherited the low rider short legs. Their brothers, Benedict and Colin are currently in foster and also waiting for the perfect match! So many adorable kittens! The orange guy is Gus and he is the oldest of the bunch here, patiently waiting for his home. The other 5 are all from the same litter with the 2 female tabbys and the black and white male still looking for their furever homes. They go for their second vaccines this week and will be booked in for their spay/neuters shortly, once we confirm they are big enough. We can process applications and keep adopters up to date on time lines for taking them home. We'd love to answer any questions you might have regarding any of our animals โค๏ธ

This amazing video by one of our foster homes shows just how important foster homes are. These little kittens are getting use to dogs and children which makes their adjustment to a new home in the futue so much better and makes them so more adoptable!! Socialization at its best! Love it ๐ป
Super excited! We are extending our hours for the summer starting July 1st. Monday 9-4 Tuesday 9-4 Wednesday 9-8 Thursday 9-8 Friday 9-8 Saturday 9-4 Sunday 9-4 Appointments can be made outside these times, just shoot us a message and we will do our best to accommodate it. We do ask if you are coming to see an animal you come after 11am. The staff are busy cleaning, feeding and caring for the animals and we want to be able to give you our time to assist or answer any questions. If you want to come earlier and give us a hand we will also take the help. Warning!!!! If you come right when we open the shelter will smell like animals and poop. ๐คฃ Dog Wash is open and ready for your dirty dogs. Come anytime!! If you are coming to walk a dog please come anytime! Our pups appreciate all the walks. Please note ee do our best to answer the phone and check emails, messages on facebook but things change quickly in the shelter and the animals are our top priority so we will get back to you as soon as we get a minute if we don't answer right away. It's really important that you update your contact information for your fur babies tattoo or microchip. Update it with 1. The vet clinic that preformed the tattoo or microchip. 2. The shelter or rescue you adopted from or used a spay/neuter assistance program or a TNR. 3. If you purchased from a breeder, update with them. 4. The microchip company. If it hasn't been transferred yet cause shelters/rescues get back logged trying to get it transferred don't fret because you would have done #2 already so we got you! Also please check to make sure your animals tattoo is readable if they have one. We have seen quite a few animals this year that are tattooed or microchipped but the owners number is out of service or the tattoo is unreadable and/or the microchip is not registered etc. We will absolutely do our best to track down the person but sometimes we just can't and it breaks our hearts. We really want to reunite animals with their owners if we can and spare them having to be in shelter.
