My last to go has hit her safe zone of 320 days today. Kwik Pleasure (For Pleasure/Quidam de Revel/Cassini I) is looking close, maybe another week yet, but she is huge!! She’s carrying another one by Ut Majeur de Brecey this year, and this one will be available, c**t or filly.

Her first offspring Otto, by Diamant de Semilly was in the winner’s circle on the weekend at Tbird with his amateur owner. These are special horses, with big hearts and big personalities. They definitely become your partner and member of the family 💞🦄

I'm finally getting around to sharing the news from the Belgian Warmblood North American District Keuring hosted here at Blue Moon Stables on Sept 3rd.

First of all, I want to thank all the breeders and participants that attended, you are very appreciated and always welcome here. Thank you to all who helped make this event possible, and thank you to Brooke Gosselin for offering up your afternoon to capture these beautiful pictures.
Secondly, I want to give a HUGE shout out to all of the Canadians breeders that presented horses across Canada in the Canadian leg of the tour. The feedback I received upon completion of the North American tour, is that the quality and strength of the Canadian horses and breeders is incredibly high. I want to thank my fellow Canadians for choosing BWP to register with and for continuing to raise the standard of breeding here.
Again this year the offspring of my own homebred BWP Approved stallion Quidam's Pleasure stood out. Allegro (Quidam's Pleasure/Corrado I) bred by Bellamy Brook Stables was awarded an incredibly high score of 85, and their Always Pleasing (Quidam's Pleasure/Lord Pezi) an 83!! Putting them both in the top 5 scoring foals from the entire tour!!
Both my filly Andromeda Moon (Pegase van't Ruytershof/Quabri de l'Isle) and c**t A-Game (Ut Majeur de Brecey/For Pleasure) also had high scores to earn their Elite Predicates.
Interestingly enough, all the foals presented earned their Elite Predicates and all the foals have my great BWP foundation mare Greetings From Quidam (Quidam de Revel/Cassini I) in their pedigrees. This mare has been an absolute gift. While a career broodmare for me, as ET is not in my budget, her offspring are out there and doing very well. Quidam's Pleasure is now schooling the 1.40m level, and son Paradiso (Calido) is producing results at 1.30m, as well as her grandson Otto (Diamant de Semilly/For Pleasure).
True Moon (Quabri de l'Isle/Quidam de Revel) was also inspected and received her E-Label, another nice accomplishment for her mother.

What was old, is new again!!
And we have a bright new course going into winter. All painted by yours truly, and made entirely from scratch of these 3 primaries, with a little white and black.
I guess the 4 Art classes 🎨🖼️ I took my Grad year weren’t all for naught after all 😉😂

It’s been a busy past 24 hours around here.

Yesterday morning my “spidey sense was tingling” again. I had the feeling we should take a crack at checking my 3 year old Voila (Valentino/Phantast) if there was a chance at catching her before Salibri leaves. So I load Quidame and her (literally her first time on the trailer) and off we go. Sure enough she has a nice big 45mm follicle and looks great, and was bred this morning to Salibri. This will be an exciting one for me, to combine the offspring I bred from the 2 mares that started my business!!

During that visit is where I also received the sad news that my incredible Greetings from Quidam (Qdr/Cassini I) is absorbing her Emerald van’t Ruytershof embryo, again. This is tough to take but also very much part of breeding. And will be the end of her career carrying her own babies.

This morning after collecting the stallion, we came back to the farm to do a heartbeat check on True Moon (Quabri de l’Isle/Qdr) and she is still very much in foal to Pegase van’t Ruytershof at 45 days.

Kwik Pleasure (For Pleasure/Qdr) was checked with a nice 40mm. So off we go again to the clinic with Gaby and her Ut Majeur de Brecey c**t with the plan to breed her on Sunday to Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve. And then bring Voila home with me.
I’m pretty sure I can do that drive back and forth with my eyes closed about now lol hopefully it’s all been worth the effort 🤞🤞

Quidam's Pleasure will be collecting again tomorrow, extra doses available. By the dose, or with full contract. Pm for details.

This is the last week both Quidam’s Pleasure and Salibri will be home, before they head out to Calgary for the summer, to compete under Katie Laurie. Both stallions will be still available pending their show schedule, collecting at Moore Equine in Okotoks.

Some great news this morning!!
My absolutely amazing mare Greetings from Quidam (Quidam de Revel/Cassini I/Caretino) just checked in foal to Emerald van 't Ruytershof!!
After losing our 2nd Toulon with her, I’m praying it was just a compatibility issue and nothing more. Quidame is 17 this year but still looks and acts like a million bucks… literally 😂

Thanks again to Dr. Plough and some strange intuitions I’ve developed to predict where my mares have been in their cycles without ultrasound, we got another one done with very few scans.

He’s still on his A-Game!!

With Ut Majeur de Brecey/For Pleasure/Quidam/Cassini I/Caretino as your pedigree, I guess it should not be that hard though.

First time out on grass and this guy is so brave, confident, agile and screams athlete!!

I can’t be more happy with the results of Diamant blood on a For Pleasure/Quidam mother, especially this mare. This c**t is available, maybe…. I don’t think for long though as I’m growing very attached to this exceptional c**t. 💙

Woohoo she did it again!!
True Moon (Quabri de l’Isle/Quidam/Cassini I) is back in foal to Jeroen De Winter’s super star Pegase van’t Ruytershof!!
The 1 straw Queen. I think I might’ve gotten lucky and have a daughter as crazy fertile as her amazing mother has been.

Her amazing mother Greetings from Quidam(Quidam/Cassini I/Caretino) is also ready to be bred now too and will go into the clinic tomorrow. I have yet to decide who to lol

Gaby (For Pleasure/Quidam) is also getting close, I’m predicting another day or 2 and we will have another little one on the farm.

I’m very happy to announce the sale of my beautiful mare Chiquita (Beaulieu’s Conquest/Phantast). And a big congratulations to Jeanie Kroger of Portland, Oregon on your new acquisition!!

Chiquita now makes it 8 grey Blue Moon Stables bred horses sold in row, somewhat of a record here, and that has also become a bit of my trademark over the years. Next month we will be celebrating 25 years of breeding with the 25th Birthday of Chiquita’s mother Phiesta, my first grey born at Blue Moon 🌚🦄💙

She's here!! And how fitting on International Woman's Day, that we have the first Pegase van't Ruytershof born in North America!!

This beautiful liver chestnut filly named Andromeda Moon is out of True Moon (Quabri de L'Isle / Quidam de Revel / Cassini I), who is the full sister to our BWP approved stallion Salibri.
True is being an exceptional new mom, she is very calm and gentle with her new filly, and baby is doing all the right things so far. She has an incredibly friendly and curious personality. Time will tell if her color from her grandsire Quabri will stay, but another grey one is always welcome here at Blue Moon Stables 😁🥰

Today my homebred Paradiso (Calido/Qdr/Cassini I) wins 3rd in a large 1.15m class.
So fun it is to see such a lovely young horse looking so happy to jump!!

316 days in foal today for True Moon (Quabri de L’Isle/Quidam de Revel/Cassini I) to the young sensation, Pegase van’t Ruytershof (Comme il Faut/Cartani/Diamant de Semilly). This will be a first for North America and probably one of the first offspring from a Quabri daughter in Canada. Things are changing quickly on this maiden mare, so anything can happen 🤞🤞

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
I'm very proud and thankful to make this special announcement!!
My first homebred stallion Quidam's Pleasure has earned his permanent stallion licence with Belgian Warmblood North American District and BWP by completing his performance requirements!!
This is a great accomplishment being one of only 3 Canadian born BWP/NAD stallions to earn this, and the 1st for Western Canada. The BWP Studbook holds one of the strictest standards for stallion approval, and stallions must perform in sport with clear rounds at the appropriate age categories to achieve this. BWP/NAD follows the guidelines of BWP as closely as possible to the maintain the same standards as the #1 Studbook in the World, BWP!!

I would also like to thank all the people that led me on this journey.
First with Dirk Zagers, if not for your help in acquiring his wonderful dam Greetings from Quidam, who was already in foal to For Pleasure with her first one, we would not be here now.
To Chris Larmee Sallee, who has been a great support in this journey through the many ups and downs, and to Boudewijn Schepers for your truly unbiased opinion of the horses and friendship, to my rider Katie Laurie you are amazing, there's nothing else to say. To all my mare owners for believing in Fluffy from an early age and bringing your quality mares to my young stallion. The proof has been in the pudding. Of his offspring presented for Inspection, the majority have earned Elite Predicate and the others, nothing less than First Premium!!
