All right, we had a order come in. Here’s your video that you guys seem like, quickly sidenote to add that all of the cichlids, pond fish, including the pond algae eaters passed away during transit. I will add photos of the plants in the comment section

Algae is back with the sun! There are a few things you can do to help reduce algae growth as more light creeps its way into your home.
First, always make sure your aquarium is not in direct view of a window, location is key. If you happen to have placed your aquarium near a window make sure you have curtains on it so that stray beams of light dont hit the tank.
Second, a good clean up crew. Every aquarium should have its clean up crew, some algae eaters to help keep that algae in check. Make sure you avoid those common plecostomus! Though they are cheap and are advertised as algae eaters not many people know how enormous they get in addition to becoming scavengers at about 6", which means they are just another mouth to feed. Look for smaller algae eaters like : Ancistrus, Clown Pleco., otocinclus or even apple snails or mystery snails.
Finally, the best way to control algae is to scrub it away as you see it. Remember that algae is a plant, and when it is left to its devices it will spread, grow, and take over. Scrubbing algae as it shows up helps to reduce its growth..its the same concept you take with dandelions in the yard, yank them up as you see them and you will have less and less as time goes on!

The golden albino axolotl is a female, roughly 4 years old. The melanoid axolotl is a male, around the same age. They cannot go into the same tank together as the female will lay eggs. Can go separately to different people or together but not housed together unless with a proper divider. Comes with one already cycled sponge filter and one 30 gallon tank if needed. Just wanted to let everyone know that I decided to go through all of my used, gently used, etc. items in the comments. I will be checking them to make sure everything works before they go into their corresponding boxes, but I plan to set up a used station that can help people upgrade/refurbish their aquarium supplies cheaper ! So please excuse the mess while I go through this process as I’ve decided to lug it all into the store

I will be on vacation from June 3 till the 7th. I will not be answering phone calls messages or text during this time. In all the years that I’ve been open, I’ve never done this! I plan on starting my summer with a bang! For everyone asking we will reopen on the 10th, with a new shipment of fish and reptiles available that following Friday!

We have two new cats temporarily please do not let them outside yet. I need them to get used to the indoors before they start going outside. They will only be with us for a few months. I’m cat sitting them. :) their names are Sandy and Cuddles

I just want to take a moment and thank each and every customer that came in the store today. Thank you for being as excited as I was for this order. And thank you so much for your patronage. I will be doing something a little more fun for the next order. On this post, if there is a fish shrimp or something that’s aquatic or reptiles or anything that you may want that’s alive put it in the comment section below. And if possible, I will try to bring them in for the next order.

Our suppliers truck driver just informed me that I have the biggest order in the maritimes this week! I will post unboxing soon as I’m done!! we talk more in my SUV than he had to deliver to the Petsmart in Bayers Lake!!

We received our first tactile order for the reptile section, lots to put away and lots to price, watching the truck get into my driveway. Highlight of my day was amazing to watch.! here’s a few pictures. I’m sure you guys can tell what’s new because none of it’s in the right place.!

So I have to apologize. Something happened with my phone during my recording of the Fish unboxing. Basically when I thought I was recording I wasn’t and everything was floating so I couldn’t do it again. I did manage to get a video of the plants which I will post now, along with some pictures of the reptiles that came in, I will also include pictures of the list of the fish we received in the comment section has Facebook doesn’t allow me to post the pictures and the videos in the same post. But I can add them to the comments.
Here’s the unboxing I forgot to post yesterday, I need to apologize as it did get cut off this time I was trying to take a picture to show my sister and I ended up closing the video ,there is only five other species of fish that did not get displayed in the video.

So we have another on boxing I need to apologize as my focus was not there. I had a customer who had special ordered some fish and he was there so I was chatting with him throughout it so the angles are totally bad. Worst than normal and I apologize for that.
After some thought and a share with my sister , Who convinced me to post this lol. Enjoy the little jumping jacks!
This is supposed to post yesterday, there is a new species that I have never had in the store before and I haven’t done an unboxing in a while either . I figured that be great way to introduce the new guy to you ! so if you guys are as excited about her (I think it’s a girl ) as I am come on down and check her out!
