BC SPCA Alberni-Clayoquot The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting vulnerable animals and mobilizing communities so animals and people thrive together.

This cat came in from Loon Lake area earlier today, we have a suspicion that this cat may have been dumped. There is an indent of a collar in the fur.

We think this kitty is around 1.5 years old, intact with no ID.

If you have any information about this cat and where it may have come from, please let us know! At the very least we would like to know a name.

This big boy is looking for a special home!
He is super sweet, loves cuddles and giving kisses.

Fitz has been vetted after a coughing fit and we discovered he has mild asthma, which may need intervention with flair ups.
He would do best as an indoor only guy, and although we have no history on him with other animals, he doesn’t seem bothered by much of anything!

Koda is full of beans and ready to find his furever home! He is freshly neutered and looking for an active adult oriented home where he can be the best boy he can be.

Koda has shown some selectivity with doggy friends, so slow introductions to new dogs is recommended. He is a bit undersocialized with certain situations and people, and may need some desensitization to certain situations.

We are recommending older kids, as Koda likes to chew on hands and can be a bit jumpy at times. He is a lovely guy if you can get past his quirks.

We have 4 stray cats with no ID that came in this week, hoping for some reunions:

1) orange kitten ~7 months, found on Gertrude st near Alberni Fitness. Been hanging around the finders home for about a week.

2) Grey/White ~2.5 years, found on tseshaht. Scratched nose when caught by finders.

3) Grey/White ~2 year old, found on China Creek road.

4) Brown Tabby ~1.5 years old, found on Gertrude st near M'akola housing, possibly abandoned.

Super excited to say that we had a chance to move some dogs out, so we were happy to see Ben, Ace, and Phoebe head to the mainland today.

Cheshire is a sweet, shy little guy who came into care with another cat. He is searching for an indoor only home where he can relax and spend his time cuddling up on the couch. Cheshire is available for viewing Tues-Sat from 12-4. #AdoptDontShop

Simon and Tula have been through so much during their time with us, they have been in and out of both the shelter and foster homes, dealt with upper respiratory and ringworm, and are still purring away.
