NEW: Roscoe is looking for a part time home/family.

He currently spends most of his time living a pretty comfy life at the animal shelter (lays around the yard in the sun, chills in his room or dog house on rainy days, and sleeps on a couch or bed with one of his human friends every night). He gets out for adventure walks several times a week.

However, Roscoe's human friends now have to travel a fair amount so he is looking for a second, part time home.

Please note: Roscoe is not ready to be around cats. He has some dog friends but introductions are slow. Ideally, he'd be the only dog in the house.

Roscoe has had a challenging past that requires him to wear a muzzle in public (primarily because we don't trust other people and dogs to respect his personal space). He also needs to be leashed in public. He is fine with these safeguards because his preferred pastime is being a potato and going on safe adventure walks once in a while.

If you know of someone, maybe a retired person or couple who are missing having a dog in their life but not ready for a full time commitment, please let them know about Roscoe's search for a second, part time family. Several testimonials to what a great guy he is are available.
