Helping Paws Rescue is a non- profit, no kill, all volunteer run animal rescue. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, spay, neuter and provide medical care, and then place them in foster homes until we are able to adopt them into loving homes they need and deserve! Helping Paws Rescue relies on the kindness and generosity of animal lovers like you who open their hearts and homes

to help us take care of the animal orphans that desperately need our help. We hope in our efforts to make a difference that we may also educate the public as to the importance of proper animal care, spaying and neutering, and the need for rescues like ours to help animals in need. While we realize we can't save every animal, we are dedicated to making a difference, however small. We try our best to match the right dog to each potential owner. Please do your homework before adopting any rescue dog. We want to make sure that these dogs never have to worry about a safe place to lay their heads again. These dogs have a special place in our heart and we will make sure to follow-up with our dogs until we are certain that they are adjusting to their new homes and that our adoptive families are comfortable with their new addition, however long it takes. Microchips give you peace of mind. If your furry friend goes missing or wanders off, a microchip can help bring them home.
We still have spots available tomorrow to bring your dog in for a microchip implant. Just call Aylmer Country Mills at 226-289-2403 to book your time. Microchips are $50. Payment can be made over the phone or come into the store. We will have extra microchips if you decide to come the day of but there may be a wait time.
Pawsitively Elgin Dog Festival will be serving breakfast sandwiches, hamburgs and hotdogs.
A. Mitchell Photography will be helping us out again by taking photos of your pets. So bring the whole family, including your furkids to Aylmer Country Mills tomorrow from 9am to 2pm. We have swag bags for the first 50 customers filled with goodies for your dog!
Proceeds from this event will go to our rescue!! Hope to see you there!

Thank you Halfway Home K9 Rescue for helping us out with this mom and her 10 - 3 week old puppies … and so it continues. Backyard breeders/puppy mills keep breeding, with no regard for the lives they’re creating (destroying) To them it’s just dollar signs and if there is no money to be had, their lives are worthless. Merely a by-product, a nuisance, they have no soul. 💔

Meet Rambler, Queen of the Jungle Gym! She can always be found where the action is. She is afraid of nothing! lol She is right in the middle of playtime with the puppies, jumping and pouncing. She has been spayed, age appropriate vaccines, and completely vetted. She's just waiting for her furever home. She will be good in a home with other cats, and dogs. She loves everyone. Bonnie and Clyde getting a much needed grooming!! I can’t thank Brenna and Abby enough for their help with these poor dogs. They are just starting their own grooming business and I highly recommend them. They were so patient and took their time with them. Bonnie took 9 hours in total (including breaks so she could destress). But it all worked out and Brenna couldn’t bare to see her go!! Bonnie has found her furever home!!! This poor boy was found on Chute Line just outside of Vienna. The smell coming from this poor dog is horrendous! 🤢. He is sooo uncomfortable. I can’t wait for you to see his transformation but he’s skin and bones. He was found with another female dog. Both sitting on the side of the road, probably where they were dumped. His friend can barely walk as her nails are so overgrown every step is excruciating. Thank you Kevin for posting these dogs so we could help them #rescuedogsofelgin #helpingpawsrescue
