Hello PoCo West Family,

Get ready for rainy days! A nice change from all the heat and smokey skies. To ensure your furry friends are safe and sound during the wet weather, here's what you can do -

Dry-off - Towel dry your pets when they come back indoors. Pay special attention to paws and belly for irritation, and infection.
Short Walks - Try to short walk (for p*e and poo) only when it's raining.
Pet-Friendly Playtime - Keep them entertained and active indoors with toys.
Deworming - With rainy days, moisture and humidity provide a conducive environment for parasite eggs to hatch and develop into infective larvae. This increases the likelihood of pets getting exposed to and infected by these parasites. It is necessary to deworm them during rainy days.
Ticks and Fleas - Don't forget to give your pets their ticks and fleas medication to keep them protected from these pests in the rainy weather.
And not to forget, keep them hydrated with fresh water, even if they stay indoors.
