Today is International Volunteer Day, a day where we honour and recognize the efforts of volunteers worldwide. This past Sunday Kerry, Nicole and Renee attended a Community Veterinary Outreach day on the DTES where they were able to help with food donations, basic medical care and support for those in need. Kerry has been attending these events for the last couple years.
Along with volunteering at these events Nicole also works for the City of Mission's victim services with her girl Sattie.
Renee has recently started volunteering with the North Fraser Therapeutic Riding Association (NFTRA) All of them will tell you that if you have the time to spare volunteering in your community is a very rewarding experience.

The count down is on........ Santa is making his appearance at the clinic for photos next Sunday December 8th from 11am - 3pm. No appointment is needed just a minimum $10.00 donation which will go towards our clinic Poco Passion Fund, also all funds raised from minor nail trims that day will be donated. We also have our Operation Give Back going again this year and are collecting food, clothing, toys and pet related items for the Share Society.

You better watch out….. That’s right, cause Santa Claus is coming to Port Coquitlam Animal Hospital.
Mark your calendars, for December 8th from 11 - 3pm. That’s when Santa will be at the clinic and available for a photo op. No appointment necessary, just stop in and Santa's helpers will be there to take care of you. We are just asking for a minimum $10 donation which will go towards our Poco Passion fund. We will also be donating all proceeds from minor nail trims that day as well as collecting food donations for Operation Give Back for the Share Society.

No one is going to argue with you Arlo! Who could say no to that adorable little frosty face? Arlo was in getting his monthly Librela injection to help him with his arthritis. If you have an older pet that is having mobility issues, there are many treatment options available. Just give us a call and we will be happy to provide you with some information.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year" 🎶🎶🎶 and Journey is here to help you with your holiday shopping. We now have the for Animals 2025 calendars in stock as well as the Christmas Octopus, Candy Canes. The cat nip pouches should be in sometime next week. Your cash donations for these items goes directly towards helping animals in need. We also have a large range of treats at the clinic as well as on our on-line store for your fussiest feline and canine friends.

November marks national senior pet month along with adopt a senior pet month. So in short, we celebrate the joy that our frosty faced senior pets bring into our lives this month and every month! Please consider adopting a senior pet, they deserve so much love in their golden years.

Dr. Ducky and Mila snuggle up to one of the Tinykittens babies that we have seen over the last month. This week marks National Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week. We are very proud to support a number of local rescues in our area. There are so many great rescues and shelters in BC. Please consider adopting from one of these organizations or becoming a donor in honour of a beloved pet.

“Fun Fact Friday” - Did you know that the average cat gets less than 10 minutes of interactive time daily with their family? Cat are extremely intelligent and do best with some sort of mental stimulation such as interactive toys or puzzle feeders. Maverick gets some play time in with a clever toy set up that his family created for him. You can see that not only is Maverick entertained but so is his pawrent.
