We’ve had many calls lately from clients asking if 𝗦𝗰𝘂𝗴𝗼𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 is privately or independently owned. The answer is yes—we are proud to be a 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 clinic, operated by our very own 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗶𝗻!

Founded in 1976, Scugog Animal Hospital has been a trusted part of the 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 community for decades. In 2012, Dr. Sherwin purchased the clinic from Dr. Powers and took over ownership, moving us to our current location.

We’re honored to announce a new service - 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧-𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐚, starting January 27th, 2025, with Dr. Molly Van Camp.

Dr. Molly is passionate about ensuring that pets and their families have the option to say goodbye in the comfort and familiarity of their home. Where at all possible, these appointments should be scheduled ahead of time to ensure doctor availability.

This service is currently available 𝑒𝑥𝑐𝑙𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑆𝑐𝑢𝑔𝑜𝑔 𝐴𝑛𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑙 𝐻𝑜𝑠𝑝𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑐𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 with an up-to-date relationship with our clinic. All regular aftercare options will remain available, and pet transport is included.

To avoid running out of important medications, we encourage you to plan ahead and request refills in advance.
