Sutton Hill Stables horse riding lessons
horse boarding Welcome to our page! Sutton Hill Stables was started in 2006. When we (Jim & Barb Baker) bought the property.
(5)

We had a well built 19 stall horse barn, a coverall riding arena, hay barn, home and utility shed. We have made upgrades on all the buildings and have worked on the pastures to make it a top quality horse facility. Jim Baker rides and has owned horses for 20 years. Jim was a Biologist but he gave that up to run his own business. Jim owns Golden Silk Screening and is the majority shareholder owner

of Equine Specialties, a company that manufactures and distributes salt lick holders across North America. Barb works for Acadia University in the Grad department and we live at the farm with our son Ian. Sutton Hill Stables is happy to provide many different opportunities for humans and horses!

- horse riding lessons are $40 per 1 hour long private session. Safe environment with proven horses and instructors

- horse boarding is $488 per month. insulated barn, daily turnout, peat moss in cushioned stalls, carefully chosen hay which they receive 4 times a day, grains which they receive twice a day. We also sell composted manure with peat moss which is great for your garden! For inquiries please give us a call at 902-456-8601

I got a little over excited about the news of Artie and Kate and the Royal winter fair and I read it wrong. They won the right to participate at the Royal they did not win the Royal. The Royal is in November. I feel kinda stupid about that mistake, but that feeling can be quite normal for me! lol It is still a fantastic accomplishment qualifying for the Royal and we are still very proud of Kate & Artie and wish them the best of luck.

We are very very proud of Amadeus's son Artie and Kate Howarth for qualifying for the Royal Winter fair in Toronto in November. Kate and Artie are 1 of only 2 horses in the Maritimes chosen to represent the Amateur jr/hunter division. 3'3: Artie's mom is Tapistry our lovely Dutch Warmblood mare. This is indeed an honor that we are very grateful for. Earlier I reported that he won the Royal in that division when actually he won the won the right to participate in the Royal. Wishing you the best of luck at the Royal in November Kate.

Well it wasn't too bad last night in the hurricane. Not at all like the storm in 2013 that blew our arena down and ripped half the metal roof from our hay barn. Glad we didn't get the main part of the storm. I am sure things would be a lot different if we got near the eye. We did loose power for about 12 hours but our back up generator kept us going. That's all the news from Sutton Hill Stables today Sept 24, 2022

Apparently there was a jam session in the barn while we were away. That’s Layla with her rendition of “mare on a G-string” and Daigo with an improvisation
