to wish Costar and her miracle twins,
Jetta and Harley a very happy 1st birthday.

What a year they have overcome!
We have enjoyed every day from their birth
watching these two grow into playful yearlings.

Knowlton Ridge is proud to present as a 2018 host location
the time honoured tradition of the Royal Canadian Mounted
Police Musical Ride.

A Canadian tradition since 1876, a troop of 32 scarlet coated
“Mounties” on majestic black horses present a 30 minute show
of intricate figures and cavalry drills choreographed to music.

A truly Canadian experience, come and see
our national treasure perform live at Knowlton Ridge
on Thursday July 5, 2018.

The RCMP/GRC Musical Ride will be on location
from July 4 to July 6, 2018.

Further programming and public venues TBA.

We welcome and appreciate volunteers to help throughout
the venue (persons without horse experience are invited to
participate and catch the incurable fever we share)

'Equestrian LIFE 2018 Exhibition Showcase'
May 18-21, 2018

Preliminary program/planning for 'Equestrian LIFE 2018’
over the long Victoria Day weekend will include 4 components.

1. The 4th annual Northern Ontario Club Tournament
(starts Friday evening May 18th
- to – Sunday afternoon May 20th, 2018)

- The Club Tournament horse show will allow clubs and Barns
to compete against each other for points.
- Each club or Barn has a set number of riders in each class and each division.
- Divisions include lead liners, youth, Tenderfoot and senior.
- We have English performance, Jumping, Western performance and Gaming.
- To compete riders must be in a team.
- The event promotes horsemanship with riders and their horses, and promotes sportsmanship between teams and riders.

- Main Concert (Saturday May 19, 2018)
Admission/rate will be determined according to the ‘headline’ performance booked.

‘Equestrian LIFE’
is an annual Gord Cardwell ‘Knowlton Ridge’ Memorial event
in recognition of his commitment, knowledge and passionate
contribution to community and sport.

Gordon Ross Cardwell in his years, co-founder of
the Parry Sound Equestrian Centre and the Knowlton Ridge
Equestrian Centre has in his many endeavours, associations
and affiliations shared and given of his personal self
a love for equestrian life.

The exhibition showcase scheduled over the period of
the Victoria Day long weekend holiday will encompass
a 'multi-day', 'multi-venue' program for horse enthusiasts, riders,
clinicians and industry/sport professionals within the local
and regional communities to come together and engage all.

Congratulation to ‘Carole and Alfred’

Knowlton Ridge will be hosting the wedding ceremony
of the happy couple as they renew their wedding vows
with family and friends.

The public are invited as the location, grounds and facilities
remain open to the community throughout the festive event.

September 30th is a special day as we learned from
the archives of the Knowlton Ridge Equestrian Centre.

And, we wish to thank Carole and Alfred for sharing
their special day with us.

We desperately need helpers/volunteers for the next Trillium show on June 17-18. If you would like to assist or you know of someone who is willing to work on that weekend please let me know and I can put you on my list. Students needing community hours for their high school credit are also welcome to help out.
Duties would include working in the rings, setting up jumps, working at the gate, hauling hay, shavings and the honey wagon to and from the show barn, helping with the barbecue, etc., etc.
Meals are provided throughout the day for all volunteers!
