We are nearly ready for our favourite weekend of the year! West Coast Groom Fest is excited to welcome you all this weekend!
Here’s a little bit of info to get you started!
Registration will be open on Thursday June 13 from 4pm-6pm for anyone who would like to pick up their pass early! Passes are required to be worn at all times while at the show. WCGF Registration booth is Cash Only. (ATM onsite)
Our Competitors Meeting will be at the Show Venue this year, Thursday at 6:30 pm, upstairs in the seminar area. All competitors are invited to attend , especially for those new to the ring to get familiar with some of our processes, but it is not required.
The fun begins Friday morning at 8:30 am for Seminar go-ers! Registration will be open at 7:30 am for you to pick up your passes!
Please keep in mind, the Trade Show begins at 2:00 pm on Friday. Our vendors will be busy setting up spectacular booths for you eager shoppers! Please be patient and give them time to do so. We’re looking forward to a fun afternoon of shopping and contest viewing! The famous Team Groom Competition is a blast to watch on Friday evening!
Saturday and Sunday the registration team will be available from 7:30 am to assist you as well!
Please keep in mind that our venue does not host dog events other than WCGF. We need to be very respectful of the venue and stick to the posted rules in order to keep using this fabulous space! Please, unless your dog is participating in seminars or contests, leave them at home. Always, always, ALWAYS clean up after your dogs! We have the necessary supplies available, just ask! Please use the indicated “Dog Friendly” entrance with your dogs, to avoid walking them through the restaurant area. No dogs are permitted upstairs in the seminar area except the models. We do have a Dog Holding area, you are welcome to crate your dogs in this area for the duration of the show, (no overnight crating available)

🌱 You can get great cleaning without the harsh sulfates, without the silicones!
• More Myth busting! Silicones create a seal on the skin? Seal in moisture? No.
——they’re purported to be ‘moisturizing’….by sealing in moisture? Hmmmmm….well let’s see now.
IF what they say is true: they don’t create a seal on the skin & hair that doesn’t allow air to pass through. Meaning the silicone is ‘air permeable’—-
then that means it won’t seal* moisture inside either. During drying any moisture left supposedly inside will eventually dry/vaporate. It’s not both ways. Its sealing when they want it to be and not* when it serves them too. Okay…..
—-Myth: silicones help slip water off. NO: silicones are almost always cut with water to make them go further….water and silicone won’t mix. They separate: They need a solvent in order for them to mix and stay in solution together. They use a form of alcohol to enable them to mix. De-natured alcohol or isopropyl typically. ✅ Its the alcohol making it evaporate quickly.

Wayy back in the day*—when I was living in Brentwood Bay, BC https://bit.ly/sQuish —and she was working in a town over —Sidney , BC - I brought some home-made samples of marshmello dematt to the Pooch Parlour in Sidney for my fellow groomers to try! 👀☺️💖💖✅ We picked up some fans there and then lol—and MarshMello was firmly born! 💖
—-Years later*** … Vicky still uses MarshMello and saw a post on our instagram of my grooming smock with our logo on it that I wore into Dragons' Den ! 😄👀

Meet ‘Levi’! ** pronounced (Le-vee) 😁🐾
—-she popped in the other day just for a https://tinyurl.com/m2xjefvn 🌪️ blowout* to get rid of shedding! But it’s spring shed season—and she was in need of more indulgence! 🌟 Today we got her nails trimmed, kept the hair between her pads (protection from barnacles and seashore rocks), and had a fiZZ*-tab🚿 treatment to begin, blow blow blow and rinse then a bathe with CLEANSE* shampoo to follow. We had a terrific time together! So glad to be able to help my community! Serenity in the home keeping it tidy from rhe dustbunnies…! She was chill. Good girl Levi! ☺️🐾🏡
