While it is great to take our dogs along on our holidays, it is important to note that it is only great if it works for EVERYONE involved; the dog, the human, and the other factors such as wildlife.

I just got back from five days on the remote West Coast wilderness — quiet, stunning, soul-filling. 🌅 ⛺️ We had an incredible time backpacking through sea wolf territory (yes, dogs had to stay home for this one - lucky Ivy had a great time with my husband!), caught sunsets and sunrises, and shared the trail with wolves, whales, other wildlife and one very friendly cabin dog 🐶 — from a tiny remote settlement with just three people still living there, part of a once-thriving Indigenous village.

We flew in and out on a float plane (the fog and wind thankfully didn’t stop our pro pilot!). I am so thankful to call B.C. home, and this trip was just another reminder of that - I hope everyone had a lovely long weekend and are ready for the week ahead!
