Did you we provide acupuncture treatments? 🐾

As an integrative approach to animal medicine and well being, Dr. Alexandra Knoepfli and Dr. Paez are able offer acupuncture. Acupuncture is the ancient Chinese practice of inserting needles in specific points on the body to manipulate the flow of Qi (energy), release endorphins, and encourage healing. Acupuncture is mostly commonly used to help treat pain, mobility and inflammation in conjunction with supplements, pain medications, or physiotherapy depending on your pet's individual needs. 🥰 If you think your pet may benefit lets us know!

Continuing Education is so important to us at PAH! ♥️ Our team frequently has guest speakers come into the Hospital so we can learn more about veterinary products. Doing this allows us to provide progressive medicine and helps us make the best recommendations for your furry family members! Every Thursday between 1-2 pm

VTS Leah and VT student Paige working hard in our treatment area! 🥰 We provide a wide range of surgical services, including routine spay and neuters, soft-tissue surgeries and orthopedic repairs. Our specially trained team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants monitor your pet closely to ensure they are warm, comfortable and without undue pain. We use human grade equipment to monitor their vitals throughout their surgery, so we can respond quickly and decisively to any changes. We provide additional pain control after surgeries with both medications and the use of cold laser therapy.

Look at these adorable babies! 🐶 ♥️🥰♥️🐾Ultrasound is a noninvasive and effective diagnostic tool used to observe and evaluate the structure and function of soft tissues. Sonograms give us real time views of soft tissue organs, such as the heart, stomach, spleen and kidney. These images are used in combination with the veterinarian's physical exam and other diagnostics to evaluate heart disease, to detect certain liver diseases and evaluate gastric motility, among many other things. We are able to complete routine pregnancy sonograms on our canine and feline patients. We can even use the ultrasound to aid in collecting urine samples on a routine basis. When a second opinion is required, we can send sonograms to specialist radiologists or internists for interpretation.

Heartworm is transmitted by mosquitoes! 🦟 An infected mosquitoes transmits larvae into the blood stream. Within 6 months the larvae mature and live in the animal heart. This is a video of the larvae in a pets blood. Ensure your pet is on a Heartworm preventative!
