PAKOC is pleased to announce that Trudy Taphorn will be judging our sanction match on August 26, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. Please come out and support a prairie judging applicant!

Time: 6:30 p.m.
Registration: 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Cost: $10

Thank you so much for asking me to judge your Sanction Match!

My husband and I live on 11 acres 45mins NW of Edmonton, Alberta with our collies, whippets, horses, peacocks and chickens.
I’ve been teaching handling classes for 27 years now and I’m also an all-breed professional handler. I have piloted client dogs to Best in Shows, Best Puppy in Shows, many group placements and have won Regional and National Specialties with them. I have bred collies (rough and smooth) under the Tamaron prefix for 37 years and whippets under the Counterpoint prefix for 17years.
My collies and whippets have both been very successful in the show ring. My collies have won the Canadian National (both a rough and a smooth) and I have won 2 Best in Shows and over 65 group wins and placements on my heart dog, smooth collie Kennedy.
Counterpoint Whippets have had amazing success but the most noteworthy was my solid red brindle bitch Jill who amassed 13 all-breed Best in Show wins, 100’s of groups wins and placements and won the National twice!

I am very excited and honored to be judging your beautiful dogs.

PAKOC is excited to be doing demos at the Prince Albert Exhibition on Tuesday July 30th @ 7:30pm in the cattle ring at the Exhibition Grounds.

We'd love to see you all come out and watch some club members and their dogs show you their skills!

This is the perfect opportunity to see all different kinds of dog sports and ask members questions. Especially if you are interested in classes for our upcoming fall intake!

In the spirit of our upcoming summer show we are pleased to offer a summer show package for your consideration. 🎁

ENTRY DETAILS:
🐾 $20CDN per paw – 75 paws available
💵 Send payments as soon as you select your paws!!!
📧 Pay via E-transfer to [email protected]
🐾 All sending fees at your expense or payment will be declined
🐾 Identify the paw number(s) on your payment (if the number is not available, the next closest number will be selected by PAKOC instead)

The draw will be made as soon as all paws are selected, and the winner will have the package items delivered to their address of choice!

We have wrapped up all spring classes, and now we are taking the summer off to allow both you and our incredible instructors time to enjoy the summer with our dogs.

But do not worry! We will be posting additional information on dates, times, and classes offered in August before our fall registration.

We also wrapped up our Scent Detection🔎 classes this week, and our wonderful instructors Dawn & Caroline gave our students the opportunity to complete their Designated Odour Test (DOT) for Pine & Wintergreen. 🌲

Here are some pictures of some students with their dogs and certificates to show they passed! Some students will even get the chance to show off their new skills at our SDDA Scent Detection Trial happening here in Prince Albert.
