I just want to say how proud I am of all of my students this week. Almost everyone is riding independently off the lead line. Some had their first trot. Addison had her first canter on Zen and independent ride in the field and Marian is starting to gain her confidence cantering Zen. Well done everyone!

Most of you have heard me say that Zen is a cheeky horse. She loves to stick her tounge out in pictures, she'll steal anything from gloves to hammers and she loves to knock everything over. So here are a few pictures taken over the years to show just how cheeky Zen can be.

What an amazing crazy busy week at Valhalla Stables. We were fortunate enough to find a hay supplier and we hauled all our hay for the year. Prince George had the most insane lightning storm and unfortunately our god pony Laddie had a run in with a fence post but luckily he is already starting to heal. Plus we finally got to meet all of our wonderful client and had great fun teaching a total of 15 lessons. And we aren't even finished as tomorrow Kurtis and I get to go and compete at our local gymkhana.

All lessons are taught by CHA certified instructor Mary Nimmert.

1 hour private lesson - $50.
45 minute private lesson for 3-6 year olds - $35.

Productive day at the stables. Dolly got to go for her first ride around the land and Zen got to practice barrels for this weekends gymkhana. Also did a little fencing as there may be another horse coming soon.

We are extremely excited to welcome H***y Tonk Sound aka Dolly to the stables. Dolly is our new lesson horse and will be looking for a bunch of new riders to love on her in a couple of weeks.

I am now officially a certified riding instructor for both English and Western riding. Can't wait till next year when I will be able to teach at Valhalla Stables.

Why have we called our place Valhalla Stables? We wanted to create and continue to create a little piece of heaven for you and your horse.
