Two years ago I received a phone call from the PG Humane Society asking me if I could foster an abused puppy that had a badly broken leg. Then they texted me this picture. He was scared, alone, and in pain. So of course I jumped at the chance to help him. Needless to say, after fostering him for several months to repair his leg and regain muscle strength it became pretty obvious that he chose us as much as we chose him to be a part of the family.
The second photo was taken today while were out for a walk and enjoying the afternoon sunshine.
He is a beautiful reminder of the amazing things we can achieve by simply lending a hand.
Happy 2 year "gotcha" day Eddie!!! You have made our lives allot livelier by having you in it.

This past week the BCSPCA seized over 50 dogs and birds from a horrible situation. The part that bothered me the most was puppies that had bands on their tails so as they grew their tails would fall off.. I don't think I have to explain to most people that the tail is actually part of a dogs spine, and the pain these little pups were experiencing must have been horrific. And this happened in Quesnel!
The picture i have posted below explains that cosmetic surgery with dogs and cats is illegal in BC. So if you see a litter of pups with docked tails or cropped ears it was 100% done without proper sedation or pain meds... PLEASE report puppies that have been cropped or docked to prevent unnecessary pain and suffering to the BCSPCA cruelty hotline 1-855-622-7722

We're not moving—just growing!

As of January 1st, 2025, we will be managing the Animal Shelter Operations for the City of Prince George at our second location: 4011 Lansdowne Road!

Here’s what you need to know:

🐾 1st Ave Location – Adoption and Humane Education Centre
Our 1st Avenue location specializes in cat adoptions and provides a range of Humane Education Programs. These programs include birthday parties, shelter tours, and reading programs, offering opportunities for the community to connect with and learn about animal welfare.

🐾 4011 Lansdowne Road – Community Animal Shelter

The location at 4011 Lansdowne Road operates as the Community Animal Shelter for the City of Prince George. This facility manages stray animal intake, redemptions, and adoption services for both cats and dogs, supporting the community with vital shelter operations.

Important announcements!

I know some of you are not going to like this,,, but,,, I am officially booked solid for 2024. There are a few of you that I am currently working on to squeeze you into a few spots before Christmas, but otherwise I am full.
Nail trim appointments are still available
Feel free to contact me if you wish to be put on a cancelation list in case a spot opens up..

Secondly, I will not be accepting any new patients until February. If you are currently looking for a new groomer feel free to reach out in the new year when I know how many new clients I will have room for.

In January, a few of my grooming services will be going up a few dollars. Depending on the type of grooming you will be looking for, most clips and brush outs will have a $5 to $10 increase. Nail trims, a**l glands, ear cleaning and sanitary clips will remain the same.

Thank you all so much for such a wonderful 2024. I truly feel blessed to have met so many wonderful people, and to have you all trust me with your beautiful furry family members.

This old guy was recently adopted through the PG Humane Society and to celebrate, I donated a make over for him.
He's now all clean and mat free for his.brand new home ❤️.
