Some of you probably know the feeling of worrying nonstop about your IR horses. What if someone left a gate open? What if someone feeds him the wrong hay? That was how it was for the owner of this little horse.
Meet Bond, one of the WIRX trial ponies.
Bond started the trial with insulin levels of 786 pmol/L (normal is 28-390). He was prone to laminitis and was unable to do much more than walk around his grass-free paddock. After a year on G’s WIRX Bond is now actually a little on the low side at 22.2pmol/L! For the first time in years his mom is finally able to stop soaking his hay!!
We are so thankful that Bond’s owner was willing to take a leap of faith and join our trial, and so thankful that G’s WIRX was able to help him get his life back.

We carry this great product!

This little horse has surprised every single one of us.
Meet Dakari. She was the reason that we could not say that G’s WIRX was effective for 100% of the horses on the trial.
That has now changed.
After a full year on G’s WIRX, Dakari’s insulin levels are now just about normal!!!

Dakari started our trial with insulin levels of >2165 pmol/L (>310 uLU/ml). This means that her levels were so high, that they exceeded the labs testing ranges. Normal levels are 28 to 390 pmol/L (10 to 40 uLU/ml). After 3 months, her insulin levels were still unreadable as they were so high, however her body was that of a totally healthy horse.
But no matter how she looked, we still had to use her insulin levels for our trial analysis, and from what we could tell, they had not changed at all.

Now lets fast forward a year. Dakari has now surprised us all with insulin levels of 434 pmol/L (62 uLU/ml)! Now we realize that that’s still not quite perfect, but thats an 86% decrease from the maximum readings!

Oh, and did we mention that she is now on an hour of grass per day?!

We cannot wait to see what the future holds for her (and her insulin levels) and we are absolutely overjoyed that her owner can see her heart horse live a happy, healthy and pain free life.
As for what this mean for us, well... it means that we are jumping for joy over the fact that we can finally say that based on our trial G’s WIRX is effective for 100% of horses!
