Always Evolving for Your Pet’s Care!

At Murdoch Vet, we are committed to staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine. Recently, Dr. Murdoch attended a specialized wet lab to master the use of regional anesthesia protocols. These ultrasound-guided blocks are a game-changer for pain management for our surgical and medical patients!

Why we’re excited:
• They deliver "numbing" to the surgical site significantly reducing the pain your pet feels during and after surgery.
• They allow us to use less anesthetic drugs and less pain management drugs which decreases the anesthetic risks, decreases the systemic effects of the drugs and allows for safer anesthesia and a smoother, more comfortable recovery.
• They can be used to modify pain in our hospitalized patients who suffer from painful medical conditions such as pancreatitis, urinary obstruction, fractures etc

The results have been so impressive that we’ve sent more of our medical team to train in this advanced technique.

🎉 Celebrating Megan's Achievement and Welcoming Her to the RVT Team! 🎉

Megan's journey with us began in 2019 when she joined the clinic as part of our kennel staff. It was here that her love and passion for animal welfare and care were ignited and began to flourish. Inspired by her experiences, Megan embarked on a distance-learning Veterinary Technician program at TRU.

Over the last three years, she has balanced the demands of working at the clinic, supporting our clients and patients, and diligently completing her coursework. She managed this immense undertaking with grace, resilience, and unwavering dedication.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that Megan has successfully passed her VTNE and is now a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)!

Join us in congratulating and welcoming Megan to the RVT staff! We are so proud of her incredible journey and all she has accomplished. Here's to an exciting new chapter in her career!

Local urgent care is available DAILY from 8:30am - 10:00pm. If you require urgent care call the clinic at 259-963-9898. You will be transferred to SmartVet for triage
