Welcome to Hart Family Veterinary Clinic Ltd :)
We are a locally owned company. Dr. Fuller grew up in Prince George prior to receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular Microbiology at the University of Calgary. Following these studies, Dr. Fuller achieved her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Fuller went on to complete a Small Animal Internship in Medicin

e and Surgery at the University of Prince Edward Island. Dr. Fuller then returned to Prince George and worked as a Small Animal Veterinarian for 7 years. Hart Family Veterinary Clinic Ltd provides compassionate, professional and personal care for our clients' beloved family members. With a focus on Small-Animal Medicine, Hart Family Veterinary Clinic Ltd provides a wide-range of care for companion pets. We will have scheduled as well as drop-in appointments available during our listed business hours, along with surgical appointments Monday through Friday.

Meet Birdie: A Hartstrings Success Story 💜🐾

This tiny but mighty 9-month-old chihuahua just got a new lease on life thanks to The Hartstrings Fund: In Memory of George and Charlie. Birdie recently underwent a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO)—a surgery that removes the ball of the hip joint to relieve pain and improve mobility.

Take a look at her X-ray! 📸
✅ In the green square, you can see her healthy hip—the ball of the femur is smooth and fits properly into the hip socket.
❌ In the red square, you’ll notice that her other hip is severely misshapen and not sitting correctly in the socket. This abnormality was most likely something she was born with, and without surgery, it would have continued to cause her pain and limit her movement.

Thanks to her FHO surgery, Birdie is now on the road to recovery! Soon, she’ll be walking, running, and playing without discomfort—just like every puppy should.

The Hartstrings Fund exists to help pets like Birdie receive the care they need when finances are a challenge. If you’d like to help make a difference for more pets in need, consider donating—every little bit helps change lives!

Started puppy classes last night and was scared of a little Chihuahua 🙄 (but aren’t we all 😜)

Will keep carrying him as long as I can!

We had a ‘Puppy Shower’ on Saturday to celebrate Bates in our lives. My girlfriends organized games, and prizes similar to a true baby shower. Gifts were given to Bates as well.
We dressed up and wore interesting hats, costumes and face masks for socialization!

I would recommend this event for everyone with a new puppy- so fun and beneficial for him, all at the same time.

🐾 Meet Our Newest (and Cutest) Team Member! 🐾

Hart Family Veterinary Clinic has a brand-new trainee in the house! 🎉 Dr. Fuller’s adorable 8-week-old puppy, Bates, has been spending the week at the clinic, meeting the team, greeting visitors, and learning the ropes of vet life. 🏥🐶

So far, his specialties include:

✔️ Exploring the clinic🩺

✔️ Stealing hearts 💕
✔️ Naps💤

Bates is still working on his stamina, so far he can make it a full 45 minutes between naps! Who knew being a puppy was so exhausting!? Stop by and say hi to our newest little helper next time you visit. 🐾💙

Celebrating Arlo! 🎉💙

Today was a special day at Hart Family Veterinary Clinic—our buddy Arlo finished his last chemotherapy treatment! After 19 weeks of chemo, this brave boy has tackled every visit like a champ, always greeting us with his sweet face and wagging tail.

While we’ll miss seeing him every Tuesday, we couldn’t be happier that he’s moving on to brighter, healthier days. Arlo, you’ve been an inspiration, and we’re so proud of you!

Freddy says to his fellow peers out there- relax and get it done! He gets his teeth comprehensively assesed and cleaned every 2 years to make sure he’s able to live his best, pain free life.

Our sweet patient Wish was in for a dental cleaning yesterday, and we think she’s showing off her brand-new, pearly whites! 🦷✨ A healthy mouth makes for a happy pet, and judging by this smile, she’s feeling GREAT.
