El Shaddai Ranch Offering scenic trail rides outside of Prince George, BC. Whether new, or well-seasoned, El Shaddai

and canopies of poplar and birch, the forest is a cathedral unto itself. And the view from our lookout point allows you to take it all in at a glance. Horseback riding offers a new way to experience this beauty, seperate from hikes or wilderness wandering. Riding, you can let your horse pay attention to the trail, so you can focus on the nature around you, allowing yourself to soak into the experience in a magnified way. Breathe the fresh air, listen to the bird-song and the animals rustling through the undergrowth and chattering away; let your senses take over and allow yourself to completely unwind.

A snowy spring day at the ranch this morning, fortunately it will all melt soon. 1 week to starting spring training with the gang. Yeah!!!

Deisel, one of the furriest horses got a good brushing, getting rid of a lot of fur. He sure looks a lot better after the good brushing and I am sure feels better.

We are waiting patiently for the last of the winter snow and more importantly the ice to melt. A typical March, warm, cold etc. we are hoping to start the spring tune up rides in April with the hopes of being open for the Easter long weekend.
Can’t wait!!!

Wilfried and Applesauce waiting patiently for treats, most of the horses have to move when Wilfried wants treats, though Applesauce stands his ground and Wilfried allows him as they get treats together.

The big melt here in late February makes it feel like spring, this is the earliest in our 8 winters we have to feed the horses at the fence line due too standing water in their shelters.
Can’t wait to get riding for this upcoming riding season.

A perfect spring like day yesterday here at the ranch. Can’t wait for the snow to melt and start riding for the 2025 riding season. The horses wintered well and are all in great shape.

Though it’s been quite cold this February, it has made a beautiful scene to walk around the ranch. The sunshine and snow covered trees have made it very nice to enjoy the ranch.

Another beautiful day yesterday here at the ranch, though cold, the radiant heat from the sun makes all the difference. Spring is comming, despite the cold some of our horses have started to shed their winter fur. Can’t wait for spring to get the riding season started.

A good snow storm followed up with -24c temperatures Saturday morning leaving Diesel with his thick curly fur quite frosty, though he is comfortably due to his extra thick fur. Wilfried with a regular winter fur looking not quite as frosty.

Applesauce is built for northern winters, very fury and his thick main keep him warm. On top of the he is the cutest and friendliest horse ever. I am so grateful my friend Nicola from Prince George animal rescue allows my self and our guests the opportunity to fall in love with him. thanks Nicola!!!

With 94 acres of forest, meadows, and bordering on crown land, the El Shaddai Ranch is fully enveloped by nature. Fifteen minutes south on highway 97, it’s also easy to get to.
