These brilliant pups all successfully passed their bachelors of obedience program with flying colours!! We are proud of each and everyone of them and all their hard work! We can’t wait to see them all again for their masters program! ❤️🎓🐾

Charlotte in a beautiful table tuck during her JIBC service dog public access test renewal this morning ❤️🐾 Charlotte is our resident service dog who helps many of our in training dogs learn all about proper behavior in public!

We are so thankful the government has a access test to ensure working dogs are safe and well behaved in public and the handlers know all the rules about owning a service dog 🐾

We are absolutely mortified to hear that some trainers are pinching puppies to check and see how much adversative(abuse) the pup can handle while they are being “trained”(learning)😳🤬🤯ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!! That’s like spanking a child for being excited on their birthday! Learning should not hurt!! Period!!!! PLEASE PLEASE EVERYONE if you are being told to do something by ANYONE, even someone or a group of people that is called or calling themselves professionals and it feels wrong to you STAND UP FOR YOUR ANIMAL! Good trainers will never feel threatened or get upset for someone standing up for their animals wellbeing!! Give a voice to those who may not have one!
If there ever is anything you or anyone you know, do not know how to train in a positive way to get the behaviour you would like PLEASE REACH OUT TO US! Abuse should never be considered training!

❤️🐾Please join us in giving a HUGE congratulations to this amazing team who passed their government of BCs public access test🐾

❤️ This incredibly hard working team have been working with Caring K9 for the past 3 years. They worked their way through and passed the therapy dog program to be designated as a professional therapy dog team and even received a novice trick training title during this time! They then started to work through their public access training to which the bond between handler and SD have became even stronger and incredible to witness!

we could not be prouder of you both and it has truly been an honor working with you both! ❤️❤️❤️

In classes we always discuss work/life balance for our working dogs and how to build enrichment in their lives, a great way to let our dogs just be dogs and decompress is to take them on a 'sniffari' or 'go sniff' walk and let them use all their dog senses and just enjoy themselves ❤️🐾 Charlotte had a big day of working with a SDit team and doing errands with her handler so to decompress afterwards she went on a walk where she just used her nose. You can see her nose is to the ground 99% of the time, she's on a long lead and leading the direction of the walk wherever that little nose takes us! A 2km sniff walk will exhaust her more than a 5km physical walk as she's using all her senses versus being in a heel and obedient the entire walk! I urge you all to try it and see the happiness in your pups face and the adventure they take you on ❤️🐾

I would like to give a very big CONGRATULATIONS to Birgit Stutz on completing our 200 hour dog training apprenticeship program! She is now officially a Caring K9 Dog Trainer!! We are so proud of all the work she does as a trainer and also as an ambassador for owner-trained service dogs across Canada. She offers classes in the McBride/Dunster area of BC.

Sad we missed out on a few little faces who weren’t able to make it last night but we look forward to capturing these beautiful faces in the bachelors program coming up!
