Slight rant: TOPIC BREEDING I keep getting asked and asked about breeding and puppies. No!! Not breeding. At this current time I am focusing all of our energy into training and earning titles. Personally I see so much interested in getting a Canis Panther, ONLY because of their looks. This is dangerous. These are dogs that require an experienced handler, these are dogs with working backgrounds and energy seeking a job. Defensive mindsets that can lead to nervy behaviors if not facilitated correctly and communicated with. You can say similar things about a shepherd, especially all the ones I see not working riddled with nerves, labeled reactive, cooped up. Just unworked and confused. Back to the CP, these dogs have energy looking to work, if not they just might do some real damage. But gosh do I find my dogs so nice to train. So intelligent and intrinsic in thought. So badass in protection. The depth of these dogs is immense. Soul connections and deep stares. But don’t neglect the need these beasts have, because they are just that.. beasts. Unfortunately though, so many people that get dogs and never have any intention of giving the dog more than just an unstructured pet life, and then complain when it doesn’t work out. Your dog is good but they are only products of their environments, you’re not going to get a stable and badass dog if you don’t work them and train them into that. Couch potatoes don’t just walk out one day shedded. Gotta show up for it daily. I don’t want to bring dogs to this world if I’m not 100% about the lives they’re about to live. And unstructure, unaware pet lives can be the death of a new breed especially when it’s not created to do that. Especially when it is actually so much easier to give them structured and productive lives. I’ve ever met an unhappy working dog but I’ve met a lot of miserable dogs that never worked a day in their lives. Also Ragnar at 9 months!!!
