Have you been on the hunt for a sweet kitten to liven up your home! This little Tabby Gang is on the hunt for their 'purr'fect forever family!
Meet Brooks, Biscuit, Tip Toe, Chip, Barry, Benson, Cookie, & Butter! Any of these adorable kittens are sure to keep you on your toes and ensure you never have a dull moment, however don't be fooled, they all have a super sweet cuddly side as well and are happy to spend some time curled up in your lap for a good cat nap. They have all lived with many other cats before, so would likely do well with another friendly cat in the home. They have not yet been exposed to dogs, but based on their curious nature, we think they would likely do well with calm cat savvy dogs.
If any of these kittens appeal to you, please follow the links below to learn more or to submit an application or stop by the shelter today from 12-5:00 to hang out with the gang!

Here at the shelter we are constantly working hard to keep the dogs in our care happy and both mentally and physically enriched. One of the ways we do so is through puzzle toys. These toys are great ways to help stimulate your dogs' brain and give them a bit of a challenge to help them get their food! Though if you have a smarty-pants like Wally here, sometimes it seems the puzzles go a little quicker than they should!
If you are ever wondering what to donate, the shelter is always in need of more enrichment puzzles and toys for dogs and cats!
Zanzibar
Update: She's been adopted!
Zanzibar is a playful spunky little lady looking for her forever home. She loves to pounce on toys and play with wands. She is a special kitten that has a mild case of cerebellar hypoplasia. This causes her to have a strange jerky gait and picks up her paws higher than normal. Zanzibar doesn't let her condition stop her from doing the things she loves or dampen her happy spirit. If you are looking for a kitten with relentless optimism Zanzibar is the girl for you.

Available for Adoption!
Muffin is a lively boy who is looking for a home with someone who will be around often. He loves people a lot and does have separation anxiety when left alone that he will need help with working on. Muffin does not seem to mind other dogs or animals as long as they are respectful of him. A meet and greet would be required with any dogs that are in a potential home. He has lots of energy and loves to go for walks, he enjoys being able to sniff and investigate anything and everything. Very small children may be a bit overwhelming for him as he is getting a bit older, but could be happy still if they are understanding of him and his possible need for space at times.
If you are interested in Muffin please follow the below steps.

"Stay" - Part Two
If you missed last week's (August 4th, 2020) part one, you should go back and have a watch. In this Part Two episode Vanessa from Sit Pretty Pet Services shows us how to complete the training for the "stay" command.
The command for "stay" is such a challenging yet important command for your dog to learn. Not only does a reliable "stay" command help keep your dog safe, but it also helps with impulse control. Stay can be used for so many different scenarios, including; preventing chase or predation of wild animals, preventing your pup from running into harms way, preventing your dog from approaching another dog or person that appears fearful of dogs, preventing your dog from begging for food and so much more.
And remember, if you need some help with a training conundrum, feel free to reach out in the comments or message us. We will ask anessa what she recommends. Don't be scared, no question is too big or small, let us help!
