Ferrets North Information and Rescue Society

Ferrets North Information and Rescue Society Supporting ferret rescue, rehabilitation, support, and outreach in northern British Columbia, Canada.

Ferrets make great companions, but they are not for everyone. Too often, they are given up after an owner finds out these fuzzy tornadoes are more than they bargained for. Since 2009, Ferrets North has served two primary purposes: 1. to educate the public about what it takes to provide a loving forever home for these unique creatures and 2. to provide care, rehabilitation, medical attention and fo

ster homes to ferrets in need. SPCA-approved non-profit and registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency.

After a decade and a half, Ferrets North is winding down operations and will be closing permanently at the end of 2023. We would like to thank all of our supporters, volunteers, donors, foster families and forever homes for helping us in our mission to improve the care received by ferrets throughout the north and B.C. as a whole. It has been challenging but rewarding work and the lives of countless animals have been improved because of your efforts.
