-9 am January 28th for one large dog or two small dogs

YES I am taking new clients! We could be a good fit for each other if:
-You are available on weekdays
-Your dog weighs less than 80lbs
-Your dog has no problems with aggression, nipping or biting behaviors
-Your dog is less than 12 years old (we recommend senior dogs stay with their current groomer)

I have been grooming dogs since 2008 and have a wide range of experience with different breeds and mixes (and I love them all!) but my favorites to groom are poodles and doodles. I am also a competitive groomer and am the #9 ranked groomer in the novice division.

Thank you to MP Make-up Artistry , Prince George BC for painting our window at our new home in Petland! We love it!
We have been spending time cleaning and painting the space before I move all my stuff in at the end of the month and it is starting to come together!

The Fur Tree is once again now able to accept new clients!
We might be a good fit for you if:
*Your dog weighs less than 80 lbs
*Your dog gets groomed every 2-12 weeks
*Your dog is less than 12 years old (we recommend elderly dogs should stay with their current groomer)
*You are available for appointments on weekdays
*You are able to book multiple appointments ahead of time
*As of February 1st we are relocating to Petland in College Heights next to the Michaels Craft Store

I have been grooming dogs professionally since 2008. I love grooming poodles but I have groomed and loved many breeds and mixed breeds! I am the #9 ranked competitive dog groomer in the novice division in Canada and I compete and regularly go to trade shows and seminars to update and sharpen my skills.

I am also announcing that The Fur Tree is MOVING. As of February 1st 2025 we will be located in the grooming area at Petland (beside Michaels Craft Store in College Heights). Today we honor the lives of the brave service men and women past and present. We remember their sacrifice for our freedom. We remember their families, who also sacrificed. We remember the animals who went to war with us.
Hundreds of thousands of horses made the journey across land and sea to help us. Most of them never made it home.

I have some grooming appointments available!
Good news, I have room to take on a few new clients. Things to keep in mind if you want to be a new client:
*I already am full with behavioral cases, in order to give my best to the ones I already have, I can't take on any more dogs with behavioral issues related to grooming.
* I don't groom any giant breeds, dogs must weigh 70 pounds or less please. (limited availability for large dogs)
* Appointments available from Tuesday to Friday currently.
*Must be able to book your appointments in advance please!

Here are the available appointments. Please TEXT 778-675-5775 Booking preference given to current clients. If you are a new client, please also let me know in your text what age/breed/size of dog you have and when they were last groomed.

October 7th - 11 am (one large dog or two small dogs)

On Father's Day weekend I was feeling well enough (just barely well enough) to head down to Chilliwack for the West Coast GroomFest dog grooming show. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to attend because I was very sick and bed ridden up until the day before I had to make the drive down but luckily I was feeling well and able to make the drive!
I had a great time at the show reconnecting with friends in the grooming industry and making new friends. I had time to take in a couple of seminars with industry legends Sue Zecco and Jay Scruggs, two seriously talented and knowledgeable groomers, educators and judges in the industry. It was a real thrill to get to meet them and soak up the knowledge from their years of experience. I did some shopping too and came home with a few goodies that I hope will make grooming easier, better, more comfortable and faster for both me and your fur babies.
I competed in the Salon Clipper class with a borrowed doodle named Gracie and placed 3rd! Then later the same day I competed in the Any Other Purebred class with a borrowed Miniature American Shepherd named Hobbs and placed 3rd!
The following day I competed in Salon Freestyle with a borrowed doodle named Jody, we didn't get a placement but I got a really good critique on my groom and learned a lot! I had a really really good haircut on Jody that had very few faults with it, it just wasn't our day!
Then I competed in Poodles with my own dog Beckett in a big class and placed 3rd! I've been working hard on improving this trim all year and I was so happy to finally place with it. We still have room for improvement and I can't wait to give him haircut again in a few weeks to make the changes the judges mentioned.
I would like to thank the organizers of the show Melissa and her husband Mark and the staff at The Foxy Hound and all their friends and family for working so hard to make this show happen.
I would also like to thank the sponsors of the show who make it possible for the organizers to bring in such amazing educators and judges.
I would like to thank the owners of the dogs I borrowed for allowing me to borrow their dogs and compete with them. It is HARD, really hard to find dogs to borrow so I cannot express how grateful I am to be allowed the use of dog to compete with, thank you!
Last but not least I would like to thank my clients for being patient with me as I #1 Chase my crazy dreams of competing and doing dog sports #2 Raise a little of puppies #3 got sick right in the middle of those two things. I couldn't do this without you and that's a fact!
