North American Bulldogs

North American Bulldogs If you love American Bulldogs, or Bulldogs in general. This page is for you!

My "North American Bulldogs" belong to the Scott Bulldog line, with the exception of "Cracker" and "Puddles" who are "Hybrids." (meaning that she is a cross between the Scott American Bulldog and the Johnson American Bulldog)

Scott American Bulldog's:
"Allen Scott’s American bulldogs, often called “standard” American bulldogs, remained smaller and more athletic than those bred by Johnson. Despite

being a taller dog, standing between 22 and 27 inches at the shoulder, the Scott type is sometimes mistaken for an American pit bull terrier." Johnson American Bulldogs:
"The Johnson American bulldog, also called the classic American bulldog, is the larger of the two American bulldog types. They stand about 23 to 27 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 90 and 120 pounds. Johnson dogs have heavier bones, wider chests and boxier heads more closely resembling the English bulldog due to a cross with that breed."

*****ANNOUNCEMENT*****

I lost my baby Puddles, today. We thought she had a virus or possible parasites, it turns out she had cancer in her stomach. There was nothing we could do. We had to say goodbye.

I’m kind of traumatized how fast the vet put her down. First off, they said we couldn’t take her anywhere. Then they didn’t even give us a moment to get her treats or say a proper goodbye. I’m just sitting here in shambles bawling, knowing I’ll never see her again.
I hate this life sometimes.
I couldn’t even be by her side because she’s in VA and I’m in Canada atm. 😭😭😭😭 (I’m supposed to head back to VA soon!)

She was our guard dog, we aren’t going to feel safe without her. We travel across the country frequently, we live in unsafe conditions.
We always knew she would guard us with her life. Life isn’t going to be the same without her. I didn’t just lose my protector, I lost my best friend. 💔

****ATTENTION*****

Everybody, please welcome our newest member Brisket to the North American Bulldog family!
He is a purebred NKC Registered Scott American Bulldog. We travelled all the way to Lancaster Kentucky to bring him home.
We absolutely adore him so far and can’t wait to see him grow. He’ll be such a handsome stud! ❤️

P.S - We had to get KFC so we could get pics of him with the chicken bucket since he’s from Kentucky 🤣😂

Our Story

“We have created this page to share love for the American Bulldog breed specifically, but also for dogs in general. We hope to help educate people on bully breeds, and dog behaviour. While also maintaining a light and happy atmosphere, where we can all share the love we have for our furry members.” - Brianna Patton & Lydia Patton (Sisters).

About the Breed: Scott American Bulldogs: "Allen Scott’s American bulldogs, often called “standard” American bulldogs, remained smaller and more athletic than those bred by Johnson. Despite being a taller dog, standing between 20 and 26 inches at the shoulder, the Scott type is sometimes mistaken for an American pit bull terrier." Johnson American Bulldogs: "The Johnson American bulldog, also called the classic American bulldog, is the larger of the two American bulldog types. They stand about 22 to 28 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 90 and 120 pounds. Johnson dogs have heavier bones, wider chests and boxier heads more closely resembling the English bulldog due to a cross with that breed." Hybrid American Bulldogs: A cross between Scott and Johnson American Bulldogs, still considered purebred American Bulldogs. Their size and build will differ according to which line they are more likened to. Hybrid AB’s are more often mistaken for Pit-Bull Terrier’s due to carrying the Johnson’s muscular build, combined with the Scott face. However, under closer inspection you can notice that AB’s will always have bigger jowls.
