Hey everyone, we just wanted to put it out there for everyone on our page.

The time has come and we are posting Oliver for sale. It’s been a while since we shared any photos of him, he has sure changed. PM us if you’d like more info or to come see him. We are sad to see him go. A great home is of most importance. We have attached his write up in the last photo.

We’d like to give a shout out to a new local business XL Performance Sand! Our arena footing was in need of a facelift. Despite regular grooming and care, our arena was getting packed down and had lost its original fluffiness and small rocks were starting to pop up. XL Performance Sand came in and rejuvenated our footing. The results are amazing, it looks brand new again, beautiful and fluffy like the day we had it delivered! We regained an easy 2” of sand that we hadn’t realized we had lost due to compaction! If your arena is looking tired reach out to them for a quote, you won’t be disappointed! Check them out on FB - XL Performance Sand

We’d like to take a minute to share with all our clients and followers about a product we have had the opportunity to try out!

One of our main doing horses, Dozer is quite accident prone🤦🏼‍♀️.. April of 2023 he came up lame, we took him to KLAVC to see Dr Mikkelsen, to our surprise it was concluded that he tweaked his coffin joint and our next step was to inject the joint and see if with some time off he would come sound again (we injected him at the beginning of May).. fast forward to July, Marci started lightly riding him daily until she was able to take him out and do some short easy trail rides.. come October she was feeling that he was starting to get sore again so off to the vet we went.. Dr Mikkelsen told us about a different option we could try that Gord Colliar at Zoetis had suggested to him called Prostride. We believe that injecting with Prostride has really helped Dozer, he is feeling absolutely amazing, I was even able to rope a few steers off him this winter!

We’d like to give a huge shout out and thank you to Dr. Mikkelsen, Gord Colliar and Zoetis for keeping Dozer feeling his best!

If you have a horse who requires joint injections we strongly recommend talking to your vet to see if this product would be right for your horse! 👌🏼

⭐️Courtesy Post⭐️

2003 Sorrel AQHA registered gelding.

He has been used as barrel and pole horse(runs consistent 2D/3D in barrels). Would be suitable for a confident beginner/intermediate rider as he can be looky and has jam. Can be slightly tougher to catch in a large pasture unless you bring grain but has been getting better. Not herd bound, gets along great in a herd or can live alone. He is an easy keeper and doesn’t require any extra maintenance. UTD on everything, loads, ties, baths and hauls nicely.

Seller would like to see him go to a new home before the snow flies as his riders have out grown him.

Asking mid $x,### PM for sellers contact info.

Hey everyone, we just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know that we will be taking a step back from training this fall/winter and won’t be taking any outside horses. We are going to take this time to work on our own horses and enjoy a much needed break. Stay tuned for updates and any up coming openings in the spring of 2024. Thank you all for your support and hope to see you when we get back at it. 💕

AW Coal Firen Embers ‘Coal’ is a 3 year old 🚹🚫🥜. Currently standing at 15.1hh and still growing. Coal has been regularly handled since he was a weanling and is a very curious and friendly guy. Not much phases him, he’s not spooky at all and takes everything in stride. He’s just coming off 45 days under saddle and is ready to be taken in any direction. He rides out on the trails alone or in a group without issue, and would be considered more whoa than go. During his 45 days he has spent lots of time out on the trails and has been introduced to tracking and roping the heelomatic. Currently located in Pritchard. Asking 7️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣

PM for video or more info.

We’ve really been slacking on posting here lately, we will try to get back into the habit of updating our social media again 🙈. This morning Oliver met us over at the training pens, I guess he figured if they won’t come pull me out, I’ll just meet them and they’ll have to pull me out 🤭. We have been so busy with outside training horses and the day to day operations that our personal ponies have had a bit of down time lately. So off Marci and him went and did some work in the round pen before it got too hot. He was quite thrilled when they were done to get a hose down and drink. Does anyone else’s horse drink like a dog from the hose? I think he had more fun playing in the water than anything 😂

🚨 Exciting News 🚨

Yesterday we got a call from a friend about a couple yearling fillies who needed a soft landing and an education. Both fillies are out of a feral herd so as you can imagine have quite a bit to learn. Their first lesson today was halter breaking, and being accepting of being touched. The little red filly was quick to accept that people aren’t so bad and that being haltered wasn’t all that bad either. The bay filly had a little more to say about it and took the long approach to accepting that it isn’t all that bad. We will be giving both these fillies a good start on being handled and basic ground work and then will be finding them homes where they will have their own people. Stay tuned over the next month or two, we will try and update their progress regularly as we go.

This sweet little 4 year old dun mare had made some great progress while she’s been with us. In a little under 2 weeks she’ll be heading home, her owner is absolutely dying to get her home and to continue with her training.

It’s been nearly 6 months since Oliver joined the herd. Thought it would be nice to give a growth “progress report”. The first picture on the top left was February 16th 2022, the first day he was home. The last photo on the bottom right was taken today. He looks pretty spiffy with a saddle on, though I could be biased 😂. He has many more desensitization lessons ahead of him while we wait for him to grow up enough to start riding.

I think this is a post that is long overdue. We’ll call it an expectations post. Everyone always talks about what they expect when they send their horse to a trainer, they expect their horse is well cared for, fed, watered, has a safe pen and adequate shelter. They expect their horse is worked daily, that they are kept up to date on progress whether it be video, a written conversation or having the chance to come out and see for themselves. They expect that their horse leaves the training facility with more knowledge than what it showed up with. All of those things are completely acceptable expectations. Now, can we talk about a trainers expectations for a moment, I think the other side of the equation gets forgotten about from time to time. Trainers are not miracle workers, they cannot be expected to make your long footed, sharp toothed rocket donkey that’s been sitting in the back 40 for the last 3 years a world class performance horse in 30 days, broke horses take time and lots of it! Before dropping your horse off to the trainer, give your horse and trainer the best chance possible. Have your horses teeth checked and floated if needed, make sure their feet are done and have shoes on if you know they need them, send them with a proper fitting halter and lead rope, and make sure they are sound and fit to start working. A good trainers time is just as valuable as yours or anyone else’s. Make sure you show up with your horse ready to work on the 1st of the month and that you’re prepared to pick your horse up on the last day of the month, request to spend some time on pick up day to see where your horse is at so you can go home and carry on with the work that has been done. Horses need consistency, especially the young ones. Have real and honest expectations of your horse, don’t expect that they can be taken home after 30 days and sit for months and when you take them out they’re going to be the same horse that you saw on the last day at the trainers.. you will likely be disappointed. If your horse is only halter broke and you’ve not been able to do anything beyond that, don’t expect that in 30 short days your horse is going to be the kid safe unicorn we all dream of having sitting in our pasture. Be honest with yourself and your trainer about where your horse is at and what’s been done with them to that point. No one is judging you or your horse, trainers are there to help you and your horse get to where you want to be whether it’s to hit the trails or perform in the ring or on the ranch. Help your horse and your trainer set up for success. Happy clients and horses are what keeps trainers in business.
