Goodview Gelbvieh raises high quality registered red and black cattle. We have a small herd of 55 cows. Striving to raise quality over quantity. Agribition 2012 was an exciting year as our herd bull SLC OUTBACK 142x was crowned National Champion Gelbvieh Bull. He was also a top 10 finalist in the RBC Supreme Challenge. Outbacks sons have been very well accepted. His daughters have also made quite
an impression in our herd. We show cattle at agribition and sell females there as well. We also sell females private treaty. Our bulls are sold as yearlings at The "Best of The Breeds" bull sale held in Yorkton Saskatchewan.The catalogue can be viewed at Buyagro.com. The Function & Finesse bred heifers are out enjoying the hills after getting clipped this morning. They can travel a full mile East of the yard to keep them fit for whatever program they go to work in. This is the most uniform group of bred heifers the group has offered.
A couple weeks post sale and a Thank You is over due! We appreciate all bidders and buyers, and anyone who expressed interest along the way. We have confidence in the bulls we are adding to your programs and excited to get them to their new homes and to work!
In the meantime we have been starting bull deliveries and breeding on the farm has commenced. The first bull to hit his new home a week or so ago was one that we sold out of the stall at the Peoples Choice Bull Futurity in Stettler this fall to Jonus Cattle/Keriness Cattle Company Co. BLB Goodview Lester 303L will be taking on herd sire duties out west this spring. This bull is a sweetheart and we know he will get lots of love at his new home, excited to see what he brings to the table next winter!

We had a great couple weeks that was kicked off with Agribition where we exhibited 2 bull calves and a heifer. We were very pleased with how they showed with all three calves coming out of their class and going back in for the championship round in their divisions.
We were proud to come out as Reserve Champion Sr Bull Calf with BLB Goodview Lincoln 310L. We’ve been very excited about this calf since the time he hit the ground running, and he proved himself to be all that we had hoped. He made many friends at the show and came out with a new owner, he will find himself down south come spring to Prairie Hills Gelbvieh. We’d like to thank Klint and the crew for seeing Lincoln as a fit to your program, we are confident that he will do a great job and look forward to seeing his offspring down the road!!

We initially planned to hold onto her as we offered her sister in last years sale and she proved to be very well received, so we thought we’d give one last shot at retaining one yourself! We have been busy getting the crop in the bin, but October is among us and we realize it’s time to turn our attention to cattle season!

Our lead off feature female comes to you as Lot 16. BLB Goodview Maureen 234K is as fancy as they come. She’s got style, she’s broody, she’s got a defined muscle pattern and maintains eye appeal.
She comes from the matriarch Maureen cattle family here at Goodview, her mother is a direct daughter of a well known National Champion bull and this gal has already hung a banner herself as Res Sr Heifer Calf Champion at CWA ‘22. There’s so much more we could say but we will leave it in your hands. This sweetheart has a bright bright future ahead!!

This post is well overdue, but we're home from the fall show road and moving into settling down for calving season. We had a great week at Agribition. It was good to see everyone who came down for the 50th show. There was lots of traffic and good times had!
