📢 Exciting Updates for 2025

We’ve had some inquiries recently, so here’s a quick rundown of the services we’ll be offering this year:

🌟 Riding Lessons
• Beginner to Intermediate Western Horsemanship
• Beginner English
We have a very limited number of lesson horses available this year, so we encourage owners to bring their own horses for lessons. Regular lessons will begin in May, with limited availability before then.

🚫 Kids Camps
Unfortunately, due to the limited availability of lesson horses, we will not be offering kids camps this year.

🐴 Training
After a few years off, we’re excited to offer training spots starting in May! Using Doug Mills training thru trust techniques, we’ll be focusing on horses needing refreshers, fine-tuning, or problem-solving. No c**t starts at this time.

✨ Re-Sale Projects
If you’re in the market for a new equine partner, keep an eye on our page! We’ll be working with some promising prospects, and offering them to approved homes later this year.

🌾 Hay Sales
We’re now taking names for our hay waitlist. Once the hay is made, we’ll contact the waitlist first, with any remaining hay sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Banjo has officially mastered the art of slow progress. If there were an Olympic event for taking it slow, he’d be bringing home the gold (eventually, of course—after a snack break).

While his speed in training might rival molasses in January, we’re proud of every baby step he takes. Today’s achievement? Standing still for a dismount without a dramatic flair for the exit. Progress is progress, folks!

Keep strumming along, Banjo. At this rate, you’ll be a rock star by 2050. 🐴🎸

🌧️🐴 Lesson Program Update! 🐴🌧️

We’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about our lesson program recently, so we wanted to let everyone know—we’re still riding strong! We’re outdoors year-round, and we’ll keep going until conditions aren’t safe or the temperatures drop too low.

Despite the recent weather, we’ve worked hard on our footing, and our arena drainage is holding up great. We’ll be out there until it freezes, and then we’ll move to the grass if needed.

We recommend layering up and definitely wearing something waterproof. Plus, we’ve got warm drinks ready in the tack room to keep you cozy!

Size comparison time! Here’s Banjo, our friendly 14.3 hh guy, standing next to Grizz our newest addition! Banjo might be on the smaller side, but Grizz brings a whole new meaning to ‘gentle giant.’ Love how these two show the incredible variety in horse sizes!

🌾 Farm Life in Action! 🌾

Our hardworking student team has been getting plenty of hands-on working experience this month! 💪 Today, they tackled two of the toughest stalls on the farm – the ones everyone tries to avoid. But with determination and teamwork, they powered through and got the job done! We’re incredibly grateful for their efforts, and their passion for learning more.

Another congratulations goes out today to this rider! This was her first show, and she did amazing! Unfortunately the horse she competed on has passed away, so she is presenting her ribbons with Scarlette, and I have included a photo of her and Shiloh in action. 💕

In light of the recent wildfires affecting our neighbouring communities, we want to extend a helping hand to those who have been affected. Our hearts go out to all the families during this challenging time.
To provide some relief and a bit of joy, we are offering a free riding lesson to any children of families who have been evacuated to our area Quesnel BC due to wildfires.
We hope this small gesture can bring some smiles and comfort to the children in our community.

We have been waiting on these ribbons, all the way from Texas!
Virtual showing is an amazing opportunity for green riders & horses, or even those experienced who want or need to stay home. This is the first series out of our country we have participated in. I am very thankful for everyone who takes the time to organize these shows!
