Upcoming classes at Fit Pets!

Classes run for 4 weeks--->
Puppy Kindergarten- for puppies 4-7 months, Thursday evenings at 5:30
Elementary School- for dogs 8 months and older, Thursday evenings at 6:45
Fit Pets also runs classes in Scent Detection (nosework), Agility, Obedience, Rally and occasional specialty classes! Check the website or email for more info, or email to get on the waiting list.

Fit Pets in Quesnel is excited to offer these upcoming classes:
Puppy Preschool -
Tuesdays @ 5:30 p.m starting October 11 for 4 weeks
This is the class for the baby puppies aged 8-16 weeks old at the start of the first class. This class focuses on relationship building, socialization, exploration & exposure, foundation behaviours and the prevention of problem behaviours
Puppy Kindergarten -
Tuesdays @ 7 p.m. starting Oct 11 for 4 weeks
This class of for puppies 16weeks-7 months at the start of the first class. You will learn basic obedience skills, foundation behaviours, and work on problem solving & prevention.
Elementary School -
Wednesdays @5:30 p.m. starting October 12 for 4 weeks This so a basic obedience class suitable for all dogs/puppies over 8 months old. This is also a great class for pups who have attended preschool/kindergarten to build and proof on skills previously leaned
All dogs/puppies must have proof of age appropriate vaccinations to attend. Each set of classes is $150 for non-members

Fit Pets Member Feature:
This is Wulf! He is a Pomeranian owned by Denise Fawcett. This little guy is an amazing nosework dog and is shown with his Ranger 1 Scentwork title ribbon!

Nosework is a sport any dog of any breed, age, or size can play. Dogs sniff things naturally- the sport version of this training just helps them learn to seek out specific odors, in a way that helps their handler recognize when they find it! Besides being really fun, nosework is also really tiring- for most dogs, it's more tiring and fufilling that extended exercise. Plus, you can train it indoors in any weather so in our climate, it helps enrich our dog's lives during our long winters!

This is Hyde, owned by Naomi Saunders! Naomi is one of our out of town online members and you'll be able to see some pictures of Hyde if you are part of our Scavenger Hunt that starts in August! Hyde is training for bitesports and dock diving and is a super fun and feisty German Shepherd puppy from working lines.

Summer and Olive! Owned by Shannon Coffeey. Summer is a 10 year old Lab and Olive is 2- Olive is a graduate of all of the Fit Pets classes from puppy kindergarten through high school and now she is training for dog sports like agility, disc and dock diving! Here the girls are showing off their great manners: waiting until asked to go through a doorway!

This is Fancy- she is a Belgian Shepherd owned by Lou Dobie. Fancy competes in all sorts of sports like obedience, rally and agility- but in this pictures, she's helping to locate a geocache!

Luna is a senior Blue Heeler who is owned by Melanie Baker. Luna is one of the most accomplished nosework dogs in our club- she competes at the highest levels and is shown here with the ribbons she's earned during her quest to be the first dog in Quesnel to have a Scent Detective Diversions ACE title!
