Sadly our boy Jack was sent over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday after bloodwork showed that he was in Renal failure and he has been anorexic to eat anything other than treats, we felt it was best to let him go peacefully with no more suffering.

I'm done with winter!!!

I may have to postpone grooming appointments this week until the weather warms up enough so I can get the frozen mound at the end of my driveway plowed for fear of my clients tearing the bottoms out of their cars. My shovels are frozen into the ice and I can't even get into my shed to get my ice chipper...

Bring on the spring please, I need honeybee therapy!!!

It's been a long year for this girl...

Exactly a year ago tomorrow, I noticed enlarged lymph nodes on her while grooming and let her owner know she should get a check up as it could be as simple as an infection going on somewhere or something much more serious...

As it turns out, she was diagnosed with lymphoma (a form of cancer) and underwent months of chemotherapy...

Today is her second grooming since...

Once again a good reason for regular grooming appointments, sometimes a groomer may notice life threatening problems before it's too late!

I just want to clarify about a post that I made back in December about accepting New Small to medium dogs only due to Health reasons...

It came to my attention last night that my post may have been misunderstood by some of my long term large dog clients.

I have been continuing to groom my existing large breed dogs and will continue for as long as I physically can because most of them are older and I didn't feel that it was right to send them elsewhere to get used to a new groomer.

All my long time large dog clients are still welcome to book appointments. I apologize for any misunderstanding.
